    Hi everyone,

I posted months ago about trying to find a solution for eczema so bad on my 6mnth girl, that her whole body looked like it was burnt. It was everywhere exept on her hands, feet and face. It was crusty and bleeding.  I'd tried all the creams you can get, everything given to me by the health visitor, the hospital did nothing, I tried changing her diet, her washing powders, rinsing her clothes twice, taking her off cow-based products, bathing her in porridge oats. I even tried massaging her digestive system (worked for the colic but no effect on eczema). Then I tried £30 a pop homeopathy sessions and remedies (she went to several). One of the remedies worked a little bit but the effects only lasted a couple of weeks then the eczema came back.

Then after browsing the web I found this site www.freederm.com which is in the uSA and sells eczema products. The site is really terrible, cheesy and smacks of a scam, but I was desperate (she was scratching and making it worse) and had spent so much already I decided to try their Soothing Dermal HC cream. I ordered it, not expecting ever to see the product or my money ever again, but it came. I had two different doctor friends of mine check out the list of ingredients, and took it to one of the hospital appointments, they also checked the ingredients. There's nothing worrying or bad in the product, they said it looked perfectly safe to try on her (I didn't trust the website proclamations). So then I tried a bit on my own (normal) skin for a week...no reactions, so then I tried a tiny patch test on my girls eczema for a few days....and within 4 days, the area I was testing cleared up, the rest of it was still there as usual. I tried another patch then eventually her whole body. It took about 10 days for her body to completely clear up. I have had the jar since she was about 6 months and she is now 10months and it has only just run out. It's a small jar, but you only need a little cream at a time, it spreads really well. I only used it on her eczema, once a day, usually in the evening when I changed her for bed, if there was no eczema then I didnt use it. It says on the website it's ok to use on babies, but when it arrives, it says "consult a physician for babies under 12months". Well, I'd consulted 3.

It costs $29.99 then $9.99 postage to the UK. That's about £22. Not cheap, but it's worked for my girl. She' been clear a few weeks now, then on Sunday a big patch appeared on her back. I used the cream, and this morning the patch is gone again. It really seems to work. They do other stuff too, but I haven't tried anything else. Just that cream.
