Just to say thank you for replying to my post.  My ds was poorly all weekend - really lethargic with a high temp.  We had to take him to the emergency docs on Sunday night as his lip and hands turned blue.  Spent most of yesterday at the hospital as they could not diagnose the rash - even the most senior doctor has never seen anything like it.  They ruled out chicken pox, hand, foot and mouth infection and a host of other things but they are stumped.  He's perked up a bit now and we just have to try and keep his temp down.  Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to reply xx

i would take lo back to the docs especially as it is spreading.

the rash sounds like the one my lo had when she started teething she was covered with it (not saying its the same tho) i find that Aqueous Calamine Cream helps alot for all different types of rashes. this is what i always use on lo when she flares up on her face with teething/nappy rash etc.

Hi gals, wondering if you can help put my mind at ease....my 20 month old son has developed a rash which is worrying me.  It started out about a week ago - small red spots on his face which then developed on his hands.  He's been to the doctors twice as was really worried but have been told both times that it's nothing contagious like chicken pox or measles and not viral.  Have tried the glass test and that was also fine.  He is well in himself though is napping a bit longer in the mornings.  I would have thought that it might have started to fade by now but if anything it's getting worse - the spots have now spread under his chin, there is a small patch on his back and the spots on his hands looked really red and raised.  There's nothing I can think of that he's come into contact with that might have irritated his skin and although he does have some mild food allergies this rash is completely different.  Has anyone experienced anything similar?

    Thanks
