firstly let me send you some hugs.

I am I right in thinking they might think its reflux? from whats been said.

I probably can't help you totally as am still finding stuff out but my 5 year old has been into hospital a few times, twice with difficulty breathing (we have had a few trpis to out of hours too)and was put on oxygen and his lung collapsed (this happened at 2 years old and again at 3 1/2)because his lung wasn't improving we recently went back into hospital for tests and he has just been diagnosed with reflux.

from what I can find out from my research (we haven't had our follow up yet so I am still a bit in the dark)it seems reflux can cause asthma and problems with the lungs, I am guessing from food spilling over to where it shouldn't be.

my ds1 had a ct scan, a broncoscopy, a camera down 9i am sure that has a name I can't recal)some samples taken, blood tests and a ph study. we are also back on tuesday for a sleep study.

he suffers loads with chest infections and is constantly wheezing.

I am sorry of this hasn't answered any of your questions but big hugs to both you and your daughter.

    Hiya

my daughter has had breathing/chest problems from birth. She has been on numerous courses of antibiotics and last month got rushed into hospital as she went blue. The doctors where convinced she was going to stop breathing and rushed her through to resucitation. Once she was out of immediate danger she was admitted and put in an oxygen box. Once her oxygen levels where ok they sent her home with a diagnosis of bronculitis.

Well this week she got rushed in again, again going blue and finding it hard to breath, once out of danger she was put into the box again. Shes still in hospital now but she is back breathing air. The doctors are telling me bronculitis again.

They have offered to give us an outpatient appointment this time though. She has had 3 chest x-rays since birth (shes 5 months) and all of them have shown shadows on her lungs. They think milk is going down the wrong pipe. They also said tests will be done when shes out of hospital on the valve that stops milk form going into lungs and air from going into stomach, as it might not be working properly.

Anyone got/knows a baby/child who has had these symptoms and had a diagnosis???
