We were the same. My DS went from being fully bf, on to this Nutramigen. Going from very sweet milk, to this stuff wasn't his idea of fun, however we gradually swapped over like the previous poster. He now loves this milk and has been a completely different baby since he' been on it. It's amazing. When we swapped the milk, I'm sure they swapped my baby too!!

Toby refused this milk point blank when he was first prescribed it and he was too young to be weaned so I mixed it with his old milk slowly until he was on it completely: in a 5oz bottle I did 4oz old milk 1oz Nutramigen for 2 days and then did 3oz old 2oz new for 2 days etc etc. It didn't help overnight as he was still having the old milk aswell but gradually he improved and when he went completely onto the Nutramigen it was like a miracle, all his symptoms stopped and I had a happy healthy baby for the 1st time.

He now loves his milk that much that he roles his eyes back into his head every time he drinks it. I use it in cooking aswell for him and it actually helps with trying new foods.

Your lo might like it and take it straight away as some babies do but if not don't worry, she will get to like it and it will hopefully make her feel soo much better.

    Hi,

Are LO has been on this milk for well over a year now. We were anxious at first but she took it as if it was normal. I hope it works with your lo.

Ive just spoken to my HV today and after trying loads of different milks she thinks my DD is suffering from mild reflux and  is lactose intolerant.  She has told me I have to go to my GP tomorrow and ask for Nutramigen (SP??)

I have read allsorts about how babies hate this milk and refuse it due to its taste.  DD is 19 weeks and after being on milks which have made her colicky, constipated and now has constant runny nappies (awful) on this milk as well as bringing loads of it up.

I feel like Im in a mine field!!!  Will this work?  What if she hates this milk.  Anyone had great success?
