hi my dd who is 2 has had spots almost every time she has a viral infection. first time in a panic and took her to the hospital (we have open acess to the childrens ward for a genetic condition she has)

we saw a consultant while we were there who is very good and he sent us home with cream and calpol. have mentioned it to docs a few times and they have always told me its a virul thing...with dd it tends to go as quickly as it apears.

we were in the hospital about a year ago (for 2 weeks on i.v's ) and she had it then for 4 or5 days as had a virus and 3 different doctors told us it was fine. i was very worried as i always tend to think the worse!! lol and after 4or 5  days it just disapeared.

seems to have out grown it now though and wenever she gets viral infections she doesnt get the spots/rash.

hope i have helped to put your mind at rest

hello i have a 11 month old little girl and she has come out it spots all over her face and wrists at 1st i thought it was an allergy so went to the doctor who told me it def wasn't and def wasn't measles etc.... but was a mild viral infection as she has a slight temp and her glandes were up i'd never heard of one of these and never would have thought spots to be a symtom he told me to just give calpol for temp and a cream talk on her spots to help them and then today she woke up with 2 times as many her whole face is covered spots on top of spots and a couple on her back too so went back and he said it was normal for a viral infection doesn't seam very mild to me though!!!! she's ok in herslf just off her food a little a bit more tired buth otherwise still laughing and happy.  i'm just so worried that he might be wrong as can't find any info on this i know i'm prob being silly but i live in cyprus and have to pay every time to see a doctor there's no just calling someone.  has anyone ever heard of this who can put my mind at rest that it will go on it's own.  sorry it's so long just wanted to include the whole picture.  thank you
