my dd who is 2 doesnt have reflux but she was the same at this age. would only eat things she could hold and chew herself...with dd think it was because she was asserting her independance and had teeth coming through so wanted hard food. we were told it was fine by doc's....but dd has cystic fibrosis so digestive system is not the same as other childrens so not sure how it will affect your child. if you are worried about it speak to your health visitor she'll be able to tell you whats best. but i personaly cant see any probs with it

    hiyya

ive 3 kids (one maybe has reflux) i was weaning 2 of them by 4 months but never on total solids to begin with i.e toast,

I'm not sure stomachs and intestines at 4 months would be able to cope with the digestion. Anyhow each to their own, you know your child, just watch very careful for choking.....
