thank you for your reply , hope everything goes well for you tomorrow xx.
i'm just left waiting at moment dr from our local hospital was supposed to ring me on fri with latest blood results and to discuss how urgent we will be refered etc, she never rang and when i have rang today she is of until this friday so i am left waiting and still worrying , spoke to her secretary who was not much help . I would just like to know christmas is looming and its driving me crazy the uncertainty ,
did your little one have the swollen lymph nodes before the tumour was found? , how quickly was he diagnosed , did he have to have biopsy from the lymph nodes or scans ?
i'll be thinking of you hope you ok , let me know how you both get on

I have no experience of this in LOs but I have suffered from swollen glands myself for the past 17 years. As a student I spent a week of my Easter holidays looking after preschoolers in a creche and I obviously picked up a virus from one of them. Shortly afterwards I had swollen glands in my groin, armpits and neck and was throwing up. My stomach was so painful that my mum called the GP who made a house call on his way home and diagnosed a post-viral illness. For the next 2 weeks I got up in the morning, went to my lectures, came home at lunchtime and went back to bed - not great 5 weeks before my finals.
I have suffered from swollen glands regularly since then and any time I get a cold it's almost a foregone conclusion that I'll end up not well with swollen glands.

my dd was 2 in may , she has had swollen lymph nodes in her groin , under arm pits and neck accompanied with temperatures , she is very warm blooded and rarely wears any clothes in the house and constanty blattle with her when out and about , (the comments from grannies cos she has no coat on make me mad).
we have seen specialist at the hospital and the only problem with her bloods is her eosinphils are raised , dr has ruled out parasite infection and she has no known allergies . dr has no diagnosis for us ,she has had chest x-rays which are also clear so we are being refered to a specialist hospital to see a paediatic haematologist at newcastle.
any body had similar problems ??? or any advice

I have no idea but this might help. Two years ago I had swollen lymph glands and fever and I felt very weak for a few days and I thought of the worst. They were doing tests, they thought I had glandular fever only to come back to me and say that the result was swrong and I don't have glandular fever. They further tests, FNA, and in the end biopsy and they found out I had toxoplasmosis!!!!
Have you got cats? How long has your little one has had fever for?
It might be worth asking them about toxoplasmosis. It's nothing to worry about and has similar symptoms.
Good luck
