My husband suffers from panic attacks, has done for a long time. Do you know what caused yours? Stressed? What were you thinking about at the time?
I used to get them about 7 years back when I was between jobs, desperately looking for work and moving home at the same time. Mine would come on in the morning when I woke up and I HAD to get up and do something to take my mind off everything so I know mine were stree/worry related.
My husbands are about death. His are made worse by being over-tired. He works shifts and after his night shifts he often has a bout of attacks. Have you got a young baby that keeps you up so you're suffering sleep deprivation?
He was put on propanalol (a very mild dose of beta-blocker) to try to keep his anxiety levels at a reasonabel level and had diazapam to take if he had a particularly bad one. His case is severe though and mostly people don't have to take medicines to stop them.
Best thing to do is try to work out what causes you to panic and then either talk that through fully with someone so you can work out why. Also, if you feel anxious, try to take time out to do something that you know relaxes you. Reading, meditaion, exercise... whatever works for you
Good luck x
