if it was me, i would get ds to open all his other presents and leave the bike in another room, once he has finished i would ask him to go and get something from the room it was in so its an extra suprise! This is what my mum and dad did for me, apart from they left it at my grandparents house as we were going there for xmas dinner, when i saw it they had wrapped tinsel all round it, looked great, so i wud probs do that!
Were getting DS the Roary Racing Car Trike, but were just going to put it up and leave it in the living room for him to see 1st thing! - hes only 18 months though so probably wouldnt understand if i left it in another room! x

Instead of wrapping it and putting it near the tree or in the front room, you could try a treasure hunt. Hide the bike somewhere safe and then do 2 or 3 clues to find it. The first envelope being under the tree for them. Thats what my mum & dad did years back with me & i loved it!

Oh right didn't realise you could get a big bag to put over it I'll have to keep a look out for that. I don't really want ds to see what it is if you get my meaning before he unwraps it.
