i had to have a section but because my lo was breech so not quite has scary. all i can say it dont worry about it. i was terrified of the epidural but it was fine, it does feel strange when the baby comes out of you but its not painful, afterwards can be a bit hard but seriously let every1 else help you and dont overdo it. i did and got an ifection in my scar, that didnt hurt or anythng though just smelt vile. sitting up from lying down is the hardest thing to do but roll onto your side and take it from there. if you want to chat pm me. hth xxx

you are so lucky they have caught this early, my hospital missed it and my baby stopped growing at 28wks ish, but they left my pregnancy til i was 41wks as baby's heart was fine and she kicked like no tomorrow she was born by cs and weighed 4lb's.. she was kept in until she was as close to 5lb and was feeding properly but she was fine and has now caught up in everyway (she is 2 at the end of the month)
a cs is not a walk in the park but if it's gotta be done it's gotta be done.. and in some ways i feel it's better than giving birth naturally. when it comes to your lo depending on lo's birth weigh bub's will have to stay in hopital until they are strong enough and feeding well whic could be a few weeks but baby could be bigger than they think and only be in for a few days.. the survival rate is rising daily so do not worry as you will be in great hands all the staff wil be there to help after the birth, make sure you ask lots of questions and stay calm for baby's sake if not yours..
good luck sorry i can't be of anymore help, but you are in the best hands.

well my baby is small for her gestation, im 26 weeks and she weighs 1lb 9oz, iv had steroid injection and they thought they mite have been bringing her at my last scan cos she was small but luckily she went from 1lb 2oz to 1lb 9oz in a week so i have to go back at 28weeks now for another scan see how she growing!! but they have told me if her growth slows down or stops tehyl have to deliver her !! any 1 else had this?

i am sooo squeamish and a right wimp - imagine being told last minute i had to have a section!! i was so scared i cried but because i was panicking it made dd panic her heart rate kept dropping anyway the mw told me i was making her worse so i had to just keep calm, i had dreaded a section all through pregnancy but had a feeling i'd end up having one (my mum had 3) dd was born sunday 20th may 07, on the friday (18th) i went for 41 week check up they told me dd was laying back to back - so with me being petite that really didnt help i thought from then i'd definately be having a section but when i went into labour on the sunday morning i thought it would go naturally - yeah right!!!
My advice to you hun is to speak to the mws/anaethetists and get them to talk you through it - prepare for a section but if you can have baby naturally then best of luck.
i'm going to have a planned section next time around (never thought i would CHOOSE to have a section) but that goes to show how ok it was - ok i was knocked out for mine dd wasnt in a good way but the recovery was what i was worried about - i was doing my housework within a week ( shouldnt have been but i felt ok) the mw went to help me out of the chair at home by the time she reached over i was already up lol i was out of hospital after two nights - you can chose to have music playing or take things in with you to make it a nice experience for you, start planning it and you may feel a lot better about it - i promise you its not as bad as it sounds, if i can do it ANYONE can lol x
