My first was an emergency section, they said try not to get pregnant for 6 months, 18 months being ideal, and I had v birth when my little girl was 2 and 9 months. I had the choice for a section and chose not to. They recommended epidural as I had an emergency first time and didnt want to be put out. I ended up having forcepts. I am pregnant again, due in November, and have been offered a cesarian, as I had one before, but am going to do the same again and have an epidural to be on the safe side, that way if I need one Im prepped up for theatre. Just remember even if you have another cesarian, you have still made that baby, and done yourself proud!

Hi, i am from Aberdeenshire and my baby was born in may last year at Aberdeen maternity. I had planned c-section as my baby was breech. I fell pregnant again in december (planned) as i was never told after having my section to wait any length of time before TTC again. My friend who is a MW said 6 months was fine and also when i saw my consultant in early PG he never told me off for getting pregnant again so soon. I was given the choice in this pregnany to have a VBAC. My main concern about having a VBAC was that i would go overdue, having previously had two stillbirths and severe pre-eclampsia it would cause me a lot of worry to go overdue. I was told they would try to break my waters at 37-38 weeks but if my cervix was not favourable i could then go for c-section. I had high hopes of having a VBAC but the choice has now been taken away as this baby is also breech and very unlikely to turn as i have a bicornuate uterus and baby never moves positions. I know of a few people who have had succesful VBAC's so it can happen. xxx

I had an emergency section with my twins in december, as DD (twin 1) was transverse at 36 weeks and DS (twin 2) was breech. It was always my hope to deliver naturally, but in the end it wasn't possible. A section was booked for the 4th jan, but my waters broke on boxing day, so I was taken in for an emergency section.

I didn't have PND but I felt almost 'cheated' out of a natural birth. I have worked in day nurseries and as a childminder, and sometimes I feel as though there isn't much difference with having my own. I wonder if this is a result of not having my children naturally.

As I had twins, I had to go away to Aberdeen to have them, as here in Orkney, they don't have the facilities to monitor the mother, and 2 babies. So I'm not sure what would happen next time.

In hospital, I was told that I should wait 18 months before the next and I would have to have a section. But I have heard of people having a natural birth after a section with no problems.

I don't know whether I should risk it and ask for a natural delivery (I think I would have to go away to Aberdeen again, incase of problems), or have an elective section here (they do elective sections, but not emergency).

Sorry to have waffled on. Hope it makes sense.xx
