Hello, I had dissolvable stitches with my c-section and if i remember correctly they took 6-7 weeks to dissolve FULLY!!!!
My scar also ended up infacted and can open at one end. At first i was put onto antibiotics and then i went back to the doctos once i had taken my last dosage. I ended up having to have a nurse out daily to "pack" my scar up as it had opened up too far for it to repair itself....
I'd recommend you check your scar every day, and if things get worse then call your nurse up for a check up appointment. Hopefully it should heal on its own though.

hello, my stitches dissolved after about 5 weeks altho they tell you it will only take about 2!! i also had the same problem with scar not healing on left side, had a lump and weeping and bleeding, doctor gave me some cream which did nothing then i had thrush from bf and the medication i was given to treat that healed my scar in no time! just try to make sure that nothing is rubbing it cos i know my underwear was irritating my scar, i used to put a pant liner over it as a cushion
