Hi new on site. Was really reassuring to hear you recovered ok, I'm due to have my 3rd section on 12th sept & to have my tubes tied at same time as I feel at 41 I have done my share. I've loved every pregnancy & the recoveries have been v.good, just hope this 1 will be too.

I am going in to have my 4th section on 1st September. All my kids are quite close in age. I have had no issues with my previous sections and do not anticipate any issues with this one. My MW and consultant have monitored me to ensure all is ok and they also do not anticipate any issues. There is no set amount of c-sections you can have. It does become more risky each time but I feel totally fine. Your doctor and MW will guide you through and advise you if they feel there would be any risks with other c-sections.
Good luck

i have had all my babies quite close to each other
my 1st been april 06, 2nd aug 07 and this 1 nov 08
i must admit he 2nd section was much easier to recover from than the 1st as i knew what to expect and how to manage pain and also how much i cud do
i wud just say make sure u keep up the pain relief altho u amy feel better it can all come and kick u in the head rather quickly lol
also when i saw my consultant with this preg he didnt say i cudnt have anymore he just said to leave it wuite a bit longer if i was to fall preg again lol x

Hi, i have had 4 c-secs and last recovery was so slow and i felt very weak but 3rd was fine - it was summer so other LO played in garden a lot! and really enjoyed it all, 4th recovery not so great but i had tubes tied at same time and i think that may have been reason too?? more LOs at home makes it harder as you are forced to continue and not rest - like still getting their tea ready, baths, lifting for car seats and cuddles etc, no resting and eating donuts like with the 1st one!!! those were the days!! good luck. xx

Hiya
Ive had 3 sections and didnt really take any longer to recover from 2nd or 3rd - was very much the same, apart from the 3rd i had a drain put in (a tube into my tummy just left and above my scar) as i had a slight tear to my bladder and had to have a stitch put in. Wasnt too bad apart from the pain having it whipped out - the midwife who done that was an evil c*w lol
I found my 2nd took less time to recover think it was coz i knew what to expect and also my 1st was emergency - was awake for the 2nd.
Im now gonna be having my 4th section and am bit scared to say the least - just gonna see my consultant on 21st and find out whats what.
Im sure you'll be fine tho - hth x

I have 2 children after 2 c-sections, and am considering no. 3. Would like your shared expereinces of 3rd and 4th c-sections please.
Obviously 2nd c-section took a much longer time to recover. I couldn't really imagine how I'd be after a 3rd.
Thanks!

Hi Im due to have my 5th section on 3rd oct, ive been very lucky and my last 4 have been fine infact i recovered quickest with my 4th so im hoping this one will be the same although i am expecting it to take longer and my recovery to be longer too.
Good luck sure ull be fine x
