I too had horrendous back pain afterwards but I was under the impression it was due to the way we positionour backs as we get used an expeanding bump! After a couple of weeks it disappeared and has been fine ever since. HTH x

I had a back pain towards the end of the pregnancy and after my c-section = especially when standing to change little one or bending over to put her in cot etc.  I was also struggling to get out of bed in the am.  I went to a chiropractor (sorry if wrong spelling) and she basically looked at my spine.  If you felt my spine it was very curved at the bottom so she massaged and moved it back to where it should be.  It cost about £30 a session! but was totally worth it.  SHe explained to me that your spine takes a while to get back to normal after pregnancy.  If you can't afford to go to a chiropractor try going to the docs and requesting physio cos that helped me too - after a while I couldn't justify the cost and have been taught some exercises to do and that helps when it is aching.

i had a section 10 weeks ago with a spinal block and although i feel perfectly fine otherwise, my back is agony.its worse when ive been sitting down because when i get up i cant stand up straight for a few minutes.it feels like my bones are slipping out of place.is this a result of the spinal or am i just getting old ???? lol
