I had the 3-D pram system and that is the heaviest of the 3 (3d, sleepover and freeway). I did love it at the time, but it was extremely heavy to lug into the car boot after a c-section. Well, it was not really too practical for car journeys but I did love it for going for a walk which I did far more often anyway (not before 6 weeks!). I put this in the past tense because now my lo is a toddler I cannot use it any more as I find it much too heavy with her in it so I just have a lightweight stroller now, so it didn't really endure. I love the design though and if I were to choose one again, I'd go for the Freeway because that is the lightest and it has an option to put just the carseat on. I think it would be a business to have to dissemble the pram all the time to turn it into a crib and then back again to go out, because you want to do as little lifting as possible post-op. A separate moses basket is much easier because if you do need to carry it around the house, it is the lightest sleeping option, and even manageable to carry with your newborn in it after the c-section whereas the pram bit of the pushchair would not be.

The folding mechanism did break and I got it fixed like new but they did blame me in the repair report in a rather patronising way. They said I had not bothered to read their instructions or copy my in-store demonstration. I found that very rude as of course I had read the instructions and had folded it exactly as shown and also because they could see from my receipt that I bought it online so obviously had no demonstration. And they said if the pram broke again, I'd have to pay for the repair! Then again, I found other companies to be just as bad for customer service, so I wouldn't worry too much about that!

i had this for my dd last sept after my section and i loved it, didnt feel it was mega heavy, my loola is much heavier. dd always looked so comfy in it rather than being cramped up in a car seat and the moses basket mode is gorgeous. everybody commented on it.

i had to sell it cause i got pg again after 3 months so i needed a double and i was devastated, still am. i got a brilliant price for it aswell 2nd hand. i had it in new marina, with ventura car seat.

if you like the traditional look then its definately for you. + the car seat on the fram for quickness looks good too, tho i will be honest and say that the car seat can be a bit fiddly so definately have a play with it before you bring baby home.

hi i pesonaly wouldnt get another silver cross as i had a bad time with mine, as the weeles kept fallin off and when my son was 5 months old the bed colapsed in to the basket, then they told me that i had miss used it and it took them a good month to replace it , please just make sure that the rivits that hold the bed on to the frame are meteal as mine were plastic, but we did think that they were plastic covers on meteal rivits. how wrong were we. x
