Hi everyone. I am expecting my 2nd baby. I had to have a ecs with DS as he was in distress. After speaking to mw and consultants they have assured me that I can have a vbac as there is no medical reason why I can't. They have told me that they will let me have a 'trial of labour' but should it not go according to plan I will have to have another ecs. Now I'm thinking that instead of putting myself, baby and family through the stress of 'trial of labour' do I just opt for a elective c-section. I would be grateful for any advice from anyone who have been in this situation or if they are trying to decide what is the best thing to do. Many thanks x

I had c section swith my 1st because he was breech, but when i fell pregant with dd i asked if i could have a normal delivery my mw said yes but did tell me that i was at more risk of complications but said i would be well moniterd and they would prob have a drip in ready to go if anything went wrong.so i decided to go ahead with normal delivery, unfortunatly dd was breech as well so had to have a c section after all.I think as long as there are no other risk factors then i would go for natral birth if you can,i'm sure you will be well looked after.Good luck
