when i had my little boy 7 months ago i was consider a high risk cos of my size and i had to havea emercey c-section becasue he would not move (he was almost a month late and would not come out i could of had him naturally but he would not move) and so i had my c-section and i was told cos i was high risk that i will be for a max of 5 days well i had him on the thursday morning and by saturday evening we were home. i annoyed the midwifes to much about going home that they sent me home. i had to have injestion to thin my blood so they tought my huband how to do it and gave me all the tablets i needed and away i went. so i was in a couple of days even thought i was high risk

The advice is now 48hours. But it all depends on how you and baby are doing. LO was delivered 12:32am on Wednesday night, but as it was technically thursday morning so I stayed an extra day! Meant you have to relax and get better, as the midwifes and nurses looked after both of us, then I felt calm when I returned home and then entered the chaos of a the first few weeks!

i'm having a planned section with my first and have been told i should be in 3 or 4 days depending on how it goes and if i have an epidural or a ga and how i react to a ga if i have one.

i had an emergancy section with my little boy as he was distressed with the contactions during labour
i had my baby at 1.05 on the 12th october and was home by 12 on the 14th, but was told the only reason i was being sent home was because i was going to stay with my mum
if id of being going home to my own home just me partner and baby i would have had to stay in for 5 days or so.
tink it also just depends on how your coping and if baby is feeding well too

Hi Everyone
How long do you think I'll be in hospital - I'm having a planned section next Wednesday. I had already packed my hopital bag for labour before I had the section scheduled and now not sure whether I should re-pack with more stuff in but I don't know how long I should expect tto be staying.....

Hiya, you will need big pants, REALLY big pants to avoid rubbing your scar and heavy duty sanitary towels other than that you don't need anything special I don't think. My first section was an emergency due to no dialation and a distressed lo, (she wasn't the only one lol) I was in 2 nights. 2nd section was an emergency too (long story) but I was only in 16 hours after section. The lengh of stay varies in each hospital so be prepared for at least 2 nights. Good luck xx
