Thank you. I did have a really good experience and even the last time wasn't a bad one for an emergency.

I just wanted to tell my experience so some who are worried about sections can see a good story of one.

glad you had a positive experience

I had my gorgeous son on monday 8th September by elective c section. I was second on the list and was taken down at 11am.

They put in the spinal block combined with an epidural tube incase a top up was needed. I didn't feel a thing, even the local didn't hurt going in. The spinal worked really quickly and at 11:53am baby Jake was born. (It took a while cutting slowly through my previous scar tissue and to avoid any bleeding as I bled 2 ltrs last time). Jake came out perfect weighing in at 7lb 15oz. The team was fantastic and they were really funny. There were about 10 people in there (12 including myself and my hubby). They talked through what they were doing when i asked but they were all brilliant.

Hubby cut the cord and held baby Jake first and then they were both taken back to the ward after my first cuddle.

I stayed in until wednesday afternoon when I was discharged (yes really only had 2 days on the ward) and now I am on my second full day at home and feeling fantastic. I am having the staples out tomorrow or monday depending on what the midwife says today.
