think its all down to why you had emergency section in first place. i fell preg when ds no2 was 3 months old. just 12 months 2 weeks between him and ds 3. i now have 5 kids, all by section, and i`d go again. recovery is better after an elective.

I agree with pp, if you have a 2nd now that's it sections all the way. I had an elective and tbh I wish I had tried harder for labour. I was booked for the section but went into labour 2 days before, the midwives tried to change my mind but I was adamant, I wish I had a few hours to see if labour progreesed (only 2 cms 1st time=em section) They won't make you do anything you don't want but it shouldn't be a snap decision either. Mine are 20 months apart and it's great to see them playing now DD1 is 3 in Jan and DD2 is 1 the end of this month. You can always ask someone to go over prev labour etc with you to see if there was anything that could have been done differently. hth

i opted for 2nd a csection after my first c section was emergency a planned was so much better the only think you have to think about is that if you have two sections yo can never try for a normal delivery again hope that helps
