You can try for a vbac after two sections, no one can force you to have a section all they can do is offer advice (although may be forcefull and think it is them telling you what to do) obvs you need to look at the advice seriously but the decision is yours.
You said your due date is 14th? However you wold have a planned section at 38wks ish so would this fit in with your plans for help? I agree it would maybe seem easier with regards to childcare issues etc but you will need help after the birth.
Overall only you can decide but you need to look at the info carefully. Get a list of questions together for when you see the consultant so you are clear what would happen and when. Good luck

I had an emergency c-section with my 1st ds and went for a vbac with the 2nd, it ended as another emergency c-section and they told me if I got pg again I would have to have a c-section. Luckily for me my family is complete with the two gorgeous boys I have.
I do know lots of people that have had a successful vbac after the first section, but round here they won't let you attempt a vbac after 2 sections.

Hiya, i tried for a vbac after 2 sections, had a really good consultant who agreed to let me try, unfortunately i ended up with another section, but the 3 c section rule is a bit outdated now, and there were people in having their 4th and 5th sections, altho my consultant said if i want any more, she would advise getting sterilized after 4 sections,

i'm expecting my second baby in feb but have an appointment with consultant in october to discuss birthing options. i had my first baby by c-section in jan 2004 and so have a choice of elective section or attepting a vbac and i really dont know which way to go. another c-section would be most practical as i'm single and on my own. neither my daughters dad or this babies dad want to know so i'm completely on my own. This baby is due 14th feb which happens to be the first saturday of half term so if i had planned section its easier to arrange childcare (my mums a teacher so will have the week off so can look after dd) plus the thought of going into hospital knowing a few hours later i'l be holding my baby is great. plus i'll have 9 days to recover before having to worry bout getting my dd to school. however i want lots more children. i've always said i want a minimum of 5 kids but i know hospitals dont like doing more than 3 sections so vbac would be better for that though i still have the risk of ending up wit a section anyway. I'm so confused and really need some help. Is it posible to have a vbac after having 2 sections? How many c-sections have other people had? Sorry for this going on so long and thanks in advance for any help/advice x

I have met one lady who had a VBAC after 2 sections, but her first lo was a vaginal birth, too.
