    Hi

I had a section 11 weeks ago as my baby was breech also. This was my first baby. Had appointment at hospital at 38 weeks and decided against the manual turning, it only works in 50% of cases and then baby can turn back and my baby had been breech from 26 weeks at least so he was comfy there!! So when i was 38 weeks was then booked in for section at 39 weeks. Section was a fantastic experience, very calm and relaxed. Was out of hospital in 2 days and the recovery was so much better than i expected. I was told to wait a year before trying again to give the scar time to heal but the mw did say not to worry if fell pregnant before then. Cos baby is breech then u can try for a vbac next pregnancy if no probs. Good luck

Hi, I will be 38 and a half weeks tom, when i have a scan to determine whether or not a need an elective c-section. i will have an appt after that to discuss what will happen with the doc. if it is the case that the baby is still breech (even though it hasnt ever really been explained to me why that would be the case - just mother nature i suppose?) then i think i will be offered the ecv first. im expecting the date of the c-section to be next week sometime, because as far as i know they do it before 40 weeks. has anyone had the ecv before and what would their advice be? or an elective c-section? was it ok? how does it affect furture pregnancies?

Hi I just thought I'd pop in here to show my face.  I'm from DIO and may be having a c-section as baby is currently breech.  I have a bicornuate uterus and an amniotic band, neither of which are severe but it has caused bubs to be the wrong way up!

I had a scan at 32 weeks which confirmed it, I was supposed to have another last week but the hospital booked it incorrectly so it's this week instead.  I do have a question.  Do you think I will be given a date on Thursday or is it still too early?  I can't imagine they'd wait another two weeks (appointments are usually at two week intervals) as I'd be 37 weeks then which seems quite late.

I'm just not sure what to expect.  I was expecting an appointment at 34 where we'd discuss things, then another at 36 to check position again and book in if necessary.  So as I'm now between that it's thrown me!  I can't imagine I will have to go back next week at 36 weeks, will I?

Has anyone been in a similar situation or able to offer advice?

    Thanks!
