i did the day i got home from hospital- 4 days later- must have still been high on drugs! was fine though- just took it slowly!

Me and dh tried after a week but didn't finish (tmi I know) because I wasn't enjoying it.  We tried again another week or so later and it was fine...

I had a fairly good recovery, minor infection but apart from that everything was okay, and we just took our time.  We were also careful not to put too much pressure on the area, i.e. dh didn't go on top (again sorry tmi!).

It's entirely personal, and this time around I'm expecting to wait longer because I'll be too tired coping with a newborn and a toddler!!!!

Hi, I agree with the previous poster, it's entirely how you fel after the section!  I had my 3rd section in March and had sex around 4/6 weeks, cant really remember now! lol!

I found recovery ok, but did remember to take it easy as although you may feel fine,its the iternal stuff that you have to watch and your interal organs have a lot of healing to do after 3 sections.  i got sterilised aswell durig my 3rd section so extra healing to do!

It was about 6 weeks after for me. Its up to you how you and your body feel afterwards really.

How long after a caesarean would you leave it before having sex? I no it's a personal but I cant remember how long I left it after my previous two sections also I dont know whether it will take longer to heal this time round being my third. I'm only 29+5 but I thought I'd ask now
