Although id have rather done it my self after everything that happened in my labour i was so sick of people looking and poking and proding i just wanted to be left alone after he was born!!! But no they then started pulling and poking my boobs!!!!!! Oh the joy!!

Yes!! I had that. And it was a few hours after the birth when I was in the main ward. This old lady nurse came round and absolutely insisted on it. Then when the next one was due, she made me do it myself!!!

I had it once I'd come round from GA with my first baby, and then whilst numb after a spinal with my elective section. Didn't feel it either time, and to be honest, I didn't care!

Its a diclofenac pessary....I had with my first child but not with my 2nd as it made both me and my first poorly ( well know for causing bad tummys) we apparently have a sensitivity . They give it straight after....then you get it in tablet form.for lasting pain relief...that or co codamol. -

i think the idea of having a catheter inserted is worse than a pessary

after my last c section 3 and a half years ago they came and gave me one of these, you dont hardly feel it and they do it so quick you dont notice
theres nothing to it
