go for it, because if you don't try you will never know and always wondering. by writting a short simple letter, it opens the door for them and then the ball is in their court so to speak. Sometimes though it takes a few weeks for a response as the shock needs time to be digested!

Thanks for ur reply, we are wanting to write a letter but just dont really know what to say, he dont want to knock on there door or anything, if he gets a reply from the letter just saying about medical issues he said he would be find and will understand if they dont want to know

Hi I had an address - it was on my birth certificate.  My BF at the time knocked on the door and found my uncle, auntie etc etc.  They made contact with my mother.

I would not advise this it was the biggest shock of their lives.

Try calling NORCAP first they will advise you. 

I had contact with my mother and father for about 11 months it did'nt work out but yours might be a happy ending be carefull.

Hi, Im hoping its ok to post here and ask a question my df has been looking on and off for his birth mum and dad for approx 8 years, he gave up for a while when he found out he had an older brother who sadly all we know is his date of birth and may be a name, i think knowing he was not the first child made him feel more of a mistake in a way and hard to handle and he needed time, anyway we found out also his birth parents parted and his birth mum remarried, we have just found his birth mum and her new husband and also there child (df's half sister who is between 17 - 20) we have there adress etc and after searching online to see if they are on any of the groups like facebook, freinds reunited etc and cant find them he is actually thinking of writting a letter, anyone ever wrote this kind of letter before and what did u say? paul is prepared for rejection again xxxx
