Hi ChelleWin
I also tried very hard with The Little Friend but only got to page 187. I still have it by my bed, but can't see me finishing it anytime soon. It was recommended to me by a work colleague and I thought I would love it as we usually have the same taste in books - but apparently not on this one as she loved it and I think it's dull.
Another book which I haven't finished is The Mind Game by Hector MacDonald. The plot sounded interesting, but the story didn't seem to do the idea justice iykwim.
There are more on my list of books I couldn't finish, but those two do spring to mind.
Someone once said to me that life is too short and there are too many books to continue with one that you aren't enjoying. Although I agree, I still feel the need to finish books if I possibly can. The ones I haven't finished still have the bookmarks in and I always feel that one day I should go back and finish them even though I have a pile of tbr that are far more exciting

..as we've had a favourite book thread thought we could have a worst book one too. Lets see if any books make it on both lists!!!
OK - my worst books has to be The Little Friend by Donna Tartt. I found this really difficult to get into, tried several times but had to give up in the end.

I can't think of anything off hand, but I generally know as soon as I open it whether I'll like it or not as its always the style that does it for me, not the story. I can only read books set in UK and in current times!
