I love James Patterson books and Dean Koontz. I just finished Dean Koontz "odd hours" which isn't as good as the other "odd thomas" books but still well worth the read. would love to hear about some other good thrillers as I read any time I have a spare second and have just moved from romance to thriller when my father in law gave me a dean koontz book at christmas so I don't know much about other authors and all my friends love girly reads.

thought I'd start one for those of us who aren't really into chick lit. I struggle sometimes as they seem to fill the shelves of my local library. anyway thought we could swap opinions/recommendations on this thread. have just finished State of Fear by Michael Crichton. I did enjoy it. I thought it really a really intellectual read, but I felt the ending was a bit weak.

After being recommended been reading my 1st by Joy Fielding 'Heartstopper' (think that's what its called) book is upstairs, anyway it was a fantastic read..
Got it in Waterstones, but her books are not that easy to get hold of here in the UK well worth the effort of finding though and have seen some on ebay and Amazon...
