You have sussed me out Jo - when I text you the other night I was not really on my laptop browsing Munters and chatting on MSN with a glass of vino in one hand. I was in fact at a fancy book signing gig in New York whilst chatting via the internet with my assistant at Bloomsbury with regards to the Encyclopedia.

If I were JKR I would sit on the internet scouring the different HP sites such as MuggleNet, CoS, BeyondHogwarts etc (and of course this thread
- although for the indepth view she would have to ASK to join) AND then create smarty pant answers to each and every flaw and put it in her encyclopedia.I would explain properly just HOW the Elder Wand was deemed to have been justly won by Grindelwald - but not by Voldemort (who stole it just the same...)
I would explain just WHY Fred & George failed to notice that everywhere their brother went (when looking at the Marauder's Map) he was accompanied by Peter Pettigrew.
I would explain how the prophecy and the idea of freedom of choice sit together - cause they just DON'T
I would explain the Fidelius Charm - in depth and prove that it is safe - and not just the lucky dip it appears to be.
I could go on...... ( I usually do

In case anyone doesnt know HP is flawed,flawed I tell you,bad JKR!!!!
How many more things will we find that she didnt notice,I wonder,perhaps she should have sacked her publisher,coz they obviously didnt pick up on the FLAWS either..........Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr JK!!!
Makes for good debating though,have already since DH came out debated and nit picked flaws with Orlando about:
The Marauders Map,The Fidelius Charm,The Invisibility Cloak,The Elder Wand,The Resurrection Stone,Dumbledore........and more that I cant think of!!!!
But tis all good fun isnt it!!!!!!!!!!
Will try to get back on bit more often,but nothing seemed to happen on here for ages and then all of a sudden,wham,everyone sneaks on when I disappear for a bit!!!!!!

Well i always said i wouldnt buy them til all were out in one megaboxset, but ive given in and only PS is here so ds is driving me mad watching it over and over but hes upset that he hasnt seen Dobby or heard EXPECTO PATRONUM yet!

I have a link to watch OotP too - I might do, sit in bed with my laptop and plug in the old earphones for total surround sound.... after all I have seen it at the cinema 4 times - and I have it on Pre-order from Play.

I found it on a website and i clicked the link to see if it worked, it did ended up watching the whole film *naughty me i know!* xand went nuts naming characters!! Was dissapointed when he said is that dobby look and it was kreacher!! Cant wait to get the dvd now though for thesneak peak!! and if you care, probly dont as youve more than likely got them all but... on CDWOW they have cos,poa & gof s disk special editions for 4.99 each! i got them and narnia,lol.

Michelle, I see what you mean. I think we are meant to assume that after he crumpled the parchment in his hand he put it back in the locket - I mean you wouldn't really throw something like that away.
When Harry shows Ron the locket he opens it first and obviously Ron reads the message, hence the 'who is R.A.B' question.
After years of reading HP I can say - JK makes assumptions, in that - things that are obvious to her should automatically be obvious to everyone else. It was like when she got asked how on earth Fred and George worked out how to use the Marauders Map - she was flummoxed, thought it was 'obvious' and nobody would ask a question like that.
When she wrote that Harry crumpled the note in his hand it does seem to imply he would have thrown it away, but clearly he didn't - he screwed it up, put it back in the locket where it became perfectly legible within the casing of the locket to enable Ron to read it

orlando worked it out and was right!! shes a freeaking genius!!! GENIUS!!!
Yet again we have to start a new thread. I hope this is the last time. The original from the old forums is in Debates but thought it best to carry on from whwere we left off. At least the May threads are still accessible but I intend to save just in case.
