Yet again we have to start a new thread.  I hope this is the last time.  The original from the old forums is in Debates but thought  it best to carry on from whwere we left off.  At least the May threads are still accessible but I intend to save just in case.

LOL - it seems Lanie has also mentioned me as being a HP nutter!!

There is no getting away from it.

Can't wait until the trailers for HBP start to appear!

    Hi waddleduck.

Not sure I can explain how much of a Harry Potter freak I am - and I have read the books countless times.

I own the UK books, the USA books, I have them in Latin and in Ancient Greek.

I USED to write theories before the 7th book came out (and was delighted to get several of them correct yay)

    This is me:

    http://www.beyondhogwarts.com/harry-potter/articles/the-secrets-of-the-fidelius-charm.html

I wrote that one last summer AFTER Deathly Hallows (it is in my real name - but any comments I add on that site is under 'Orlando' - same as here)

It is fair to say that there is not too much I don't know about the books themselves and the Celtic legends behind them - and the Latin language and the Celtic wood calendar - and the Roman myths, and the meanings of the characters names...

    I will shut up now

Sallie-Anne can tell you I am an HP freak....

Hi Waddle - I'm in the process of reading the books a fourth time, am in the middle of Goblet of Fire! I find with each time I read the books there's something else in it that I have forgotten or that makes sense now that I've read them all. She's a wonderful author and most as I read the last book I got more and more down, couldn't believe it was the end of Harry Potter! Orlando on here knows her stuff big time. I love reading her posts, it's quietened down now but coming up to November it'll become busy once again! I don't post here very often I don't think I'm enough of an expert on Harry Potter but I do love him and I would say I am fanatical about the books

I'm not liking a fair few things that JK has done since the release of Deathly Hallows.

The constant changing of what happened to the characters after the Battle of Hogwarts for one. Considering how much effort she put into creating such real people with such detailed backgrounds - she was extraordinarily short-sighted if she thought readers would not be asking about 'what became of them all' - and so unlike her not to have thought of it.

I didn't agree with the 'outing' of Dumbledore - it seemed so pointless and added nothing to the HP books as a whole, nothing suddenly made sense that was confusing before iyswim.

The Tales of Beedle the Bard - again, 5 copies the one she put out for the highest bidder for 'charity'. Yes? Well - sell the book to us all at a cost of £5 a copy and she would have made millions upon millions for charity.

Now of course the Prequel - although available to read on Mugglenet, it is not the same as owning the damned thing and being able to read it properly - repeatedly.

    RIGHT.

I came on to say that if you go on YouTube and put in 'Harry Potter 12/6/08 you will get a vid of the latest movie stills from the HBP movie.

I think HBP will be simpler to put onto the screen. They will at a guess concentrate on 3 points - the pensieve memories, the HBP book, and Harry's obsession with Draco.

I wish it were 21-11-08 NOW!

Somebody has wrote on imdb about Ron eating all the time and he says they make it looks like he leaves in dh because hes so hungry?!?! They even mention when Hermione says dont you ever stop eating in OOTP making it sound they made a oint of her saying it, but obviosuly DH didnt come out until a week after ootp film!?!? Really random....

Im so really hoping dobby is in it, i really am, i bet theyl keep us in suspense for that one... So.... If anyone will be watching it in the showcase in peterborough and they hear a yelp of joy followed by happy tears, itl be ME!!! lmao!

It will be interesting to see how much information we get in HBP considering they have decided to go all out for Deathly Hallows. I just wonder if we will get some of the 'missing' info to help DH make sense for the movie only audience.

Not heard much on the Dobby front yet - I really hope he is in HBP.

Perhaps they will have to mention S.P.E.W. in HBP or more than likely they will change the reason for Hermione kissing Ron.

I agree also that the two parts just need to be a damn site closer together. it has made me want to die how far apart they are!

Yes poor ole Snapes upbringing is tragicer(not a real word,is it?) than the rest!

Thank crikey they are doing DH in two parts - although being told November 2010 and then May 2011 is NOT good. How about June 2010 and July 2010 instead

I think most of the adult characters have had a pretty tragic upbringing - they all seem to have something in their past - perhaps with the exception of James Potter, his life seemed pretty easy (until he got killed by Voldemort that is lol).

My personal MOST tragic just has to be Severus Snape.

Born to a family with a Muggle father, who seemed to be a bit of bully and a witch mother who clearly made Snape dress as a wizard - thus making his pre-Hogwart childhood miserable. He finally 'escapes' to Hogwarts with his best friend Lily Evans only to be greeted on the Hogwarts Express by two gits known as James Potter and Sirius Black who make his life hell for 7 straight years. He falls into the hands of the Slytherin house and they (who are cunning) use him and because it is probably the first time ever in his life he has felt accepted he embraces it (wrongly) thus causing him to lose his best mate/girl he loves. He slides deeper and deeper until the event with the prophecy and then in desperation tries to prevent the damage being done -but to no avail, Lily Potter dies, and so does Severus Snape. From the 31st October 1981 Snape is dead to all - his heart broken beyond repair and he devotes his life to try and keep Harry alive - for his love of Lily *sob*

He is a tragic soul, a lost soul - I loves Severus Snape

they would have to work the symbol into it some where though as it is an essential part of the story isnt it? wonder how they will do it?

    Right..... So....

If there is no phlegm and bill, im guess in DH there wont be a wedding and there wont be Viktor telling off xeno for his symbol and if theres no potato faced percy im guessing there wont be the encounter between harry and the new minister in hbp?
