Hi Tripsy. Yes they do - http://www.everydayminerals.com/

They're based in the US, but the cost incl p&p is quite good compared with some of the makes over here and it's all good stuff in their products. Hey, I should ask for commission!

Hi just to let you know I have a cheap brand collection 2000 mineral make up from boots and its perfect.  It only cost a fiver.  The only thing I will say is that I was nearly put off because it says on websites that people with dry skin shouldnt use it as it shows it up.  If thats the problem you have, when you get out of the shower or bath, splash your face with cold water, dont dry it, and get some thick moisturise without oil in it and out that all over your face, obvuously put more in the very dry areas, then when thats nearly dry start applying your mineral make up.  ALways use a round chunky brush and you shouldnt have any problems.

    Hope this helped.

I have just ordered on line from lilylolo a mineral foundation having had the sample first and found it great, I am sure that they do not use talc as it states the ingredients.  Does anybody know if this is really correct with lilylolo products.

Crei - does everyday minerals have a website?  Not heard of this make xx

I've been using a mineral foundation from Lily Lolo for a while now.  I find it great as you can add more if you feel you need it one day.  Lily Lolo also do a range of mineral concealers.  I think you can only buy online, but they do sample pots for £1, and they use standard royal mail so postage is minimal.  The amount in the sample pots is enough for a couple of weeks and if you buy a couple and think none are quite right you can start mixing to make your own colour before you fork out too much.

btw their eyeshadow is fab too and stays on all day!

I personally wouldn't but the cheaper mineral foundations as they use talc in their ingredients to 'bulk' their products up. At least with the more expensive ones you are less likely to have these cheaper ingredients in them and will have more of the actually stuff that should be in them, iykwim. Regardless of maybeline saying this make up doesn't clog the pores, talc does! hth Everyday minerals is a good one as it only uses 4 natural ingredients in it, is non-comedogenic and lasts for ages.

The Micabella mineral makeup is brilliant, I bought the foundation and a few mineral shadows in Canada, but the shadows can also be used as eyeliner, lipgloss, nail varnish and even hair mascara, they have the most gorgeous colours aswell, you can buy on the website I think, and it shows you how to use the products.

    Will keep ya posted! xx

No not fussy at all, why shouldn't a girl demand perfection We spend our hard earned chash on the stuff!

I would really recommend going in a shop and actually trying the shades. While those websites look good, it would be a lot of waste if you got the wrong shade, you really can't tell what they'll come out like.

I'm very very pale, and normally have to buy the palest shade of everything. But a couple of the mineral make ups have come up pale even on me! The Maybelline one I have is Vanilla Rose which is the second palest shade. When I got it home and put it on in better light I thought it was going to be too dark, but it kind of settles into your skin and is a good match. Cos they're powdery if you get too pale a shade it makes you look chalky.

The other things I'd say is that if you have dry patches mineral make up can sometimes show it up, and also when you brush it round your nose breathe out else the powder can go up your nose lol.

I'd go for a cheaper brand than the ones on line personally, just to see how you get on with it, theres definately a technique to it, it takes some getting used to.

    Good luck anyway!

That is great advice steph thank u so much.

I too dont like the metallic look, the look i am after is matte with medium coverage, i don't like to look too 'done up' but i also like to cover my blemishes!  fussy i know!

I have seen some on line as well, like the one below

    http://www.puritycosmetics.co.uk/Mineral_makeup.php

    and

    http://www.coloursofdoja.co.uk/

thing is tho you can't really see the shades, i am pale with colour (yellow tone i guess) but its an expensive mistake to make.

    xx

    Hi again,

Yeah its to be worn alone. I'm like you, wanted something different to having to buy both foundation and powder. You apply it by loading a brush up with powder, tap off the excess then sort of 'buff' it onto your skin in a circular motion (theres a good demonstration video on the Maybelling website)

The thing with minerals is you have to try different ones to find one you like, I thought they were all similar - wrong!

Some, like the L'Oreal one have a shimmer to them, which can sometimes look metallicy which I don't personally like. The Avon one and the Maybelline one have quite a matte finish which I like. They all have different coverages, some very light and some heavier, almost cakey. And some seem to be more drying than others, it depends on what you want and your skin type.

I'd also recommend trying the powder on your face in the shop cos from personal experience, there are often big variations in the shades and they often come out different to in the pot and look different on your face compared to your hand (been caught out a few times with that!)

My fave so far as I said is the Maybelline one, and the brush that comes with it is perfect too. Some of them that have the brush in the lid are quite difficult to apply as the brush is sort of stubby.

Now I've baffled you, good luck The Maybelline ones on introductory offer in most places at the moment so I'd say go for it

    I have a questionTripsy

Hi thank you for replying.  I am fed up of using foundation then powder as my face feels very caked.  I am currently using dior second skin foundation the one in the compact it is ok but quite thick so I tend to just put on a little but then you can still see my blemishes.

I have seen this new maybelline one on telly.

Teena is the maybelline the one u are using??  If not what other makes do you suggest i try ie. mineral a

Also now having lo its nice just to quickly brush over instead of standing there getting messy with foundation blending it in etc.  too timing consuming these days!!!

    xx

    Hi,

I heard about minerals a while ago on tv.  It is apparently what people wear on tv that makes their skin always look nice so I bought some.  Worth every single penny in my opinion.  For years and years I have tried different foundations, powders etc but none really any good, always look cakey like wearing too much make up but this minerals powder oh yes and the fab brush are the best.  I wouldn't wear anything else now.  Its fab on my skin.

    Teena xx

Hi, I just bought this the other day and so far like it alot. Coverage is good, alot better than some, but its not cakey like some go. The brush with it is also really good. Its my favourite, and I've tried L'Oreal, NYC (superdrug) and Avon.
