this happened to me when i had blonde streaks put in.hairdresser said it was because i have had so much colour on my hair.so she had to strip my hair to its natural colour and then it was fine

box colours arnt overly good for your hair.i have black hair and every so often will use a box colour but tend to stick to hairdresser.

.............go ginger.  I colour my hair with couleur experte in biscotti/natural blonde which isn't far off my natural coulour anyway.  After a few washes the bottom of my hair doesn't look too bad but the top 4 inches go from blonde/brown to ginger/brassy.  Does anyone have a suggestion as to why this happens or can anyone recommend a hair colour that won't go like this after a few washes (i don't want to go too light or too dark)    HELP!!
