your need to use a pre-lightner on your hair it looks like a bleach blondy colour on home kits! this is what they advice people to use if you want to go any shade extreamly lighter! ie: if you want brown hair you will need to use a pre-lightner first and then the brown die x

hun make sure u go to the hairdressers, DONT do it at home ur purple will turn pink n the rest will be orange yellow and possibly become damaged brittle n worse case scenario it could snap or fall out! im a hairdresser n would advise u not to do it home, iv seen wat happens wen ppl do not pretty!!  good luck hun x

some hair colour mixes have peroxide in there which will lighten whatever colour you have, BUT what I'd suggest is have to colour change done at the hairdressers as a change from black/purple to anything is going to be an extreme change and on top of that there's a period after hair colouring where your hair will need a relaxant put on there to prevent hideous colour changes (greens/blues), it does happen at college a friends hair went blue after a peroxide colouring not too long after it being another colour (also dyed - afew weeks before) she had to have it sorted at the hairdressers and it ended up costing a LOT more than a normal haircolouring would have cost to put it right again
