This may be a silly question but I have never used teething powders, how do you give them?

We have Nelsons Teetha sachets, which are basically the same as the Ashton Teething Powders.  Three of us from my antenatal group swear by these homeopathic remedies, I dont know what they have in them but they seem to work! (there's only three of us who have lo's teething and we all love the powders!) I'd get some teething powder and try him with them, and also dose him up with calpol/ calprofen. Because they are paracetamol and ibuprofen, you can alternate them every 2 hours if needed.  Hope he sleeps okay tonight, and good luck for tomorrow

    xx

Make sure he is topped up with calpol etc... have you tried Ashton and Parsons teething powders? you can get them in boots, i find they calm my dd down in minutes - they are homeopathic so can be taken along side calpol etc.. some teething rings and maybe take some cold cucumber or carrot sticks that he can munch on!!

good luck for that and for your big day aswell!! x

hi hun fingers crossed they will cut soon and the pain will stop. have you tried given nurofen for kids or calpol just before he goes to bed just to keep his temp down as im sure this makes them more uncomfrtable thats why takes longer to settle down again.

good luck for big day as well xx

My ds (just turned 1) is teething somewhat awful at the moment, and I get married tomorrow morning.  He's just not sleeping very well, he wakes in the night rather distressed and wants to be held and I give him some milk.  It can take upto an hour or more to get him back off to sleep again.  During the day he is very clingy and wingey, never can do much because of it.  I am just hoping that he will just go to sleep during the wedding, but I think it's wishful thinking and I have visions of him screaming the place down!!
