Mrs Atkins reporting in......
Thanks for your good luck wishes. It was lovely to come on here and find a thread all for me. Well, we had a great day and I am totally shattered now. My ds awoke at 5 in the morning, as usual getting all hysterical. Calmed him down with a bottle and eventually got him back off to sleep. Then got up at 7. Managed to have half an hour to myself before the little man decided to wake up. Getting ready wasn't very easy as ds was extremely clingy and wouldn't let me walk away from him. Because of that we were rushing about trying to get out of the house on time and so I forgot to put my earrings in and my bracelet on, something I was planning to do. I almost forgot to pick up my bouquet and dp walked out of the house without the ring and had to come back in for it. Funny thing about the bouquet is I had a dream the other night about the wedding and actually forgetting to take the bouquet with me!! Anyhow, we managed to get to the register at 10.45 am (dp had wanted to get there at 10.30 to give us plenty of time). We had taken some button holes and my birth mum asked me to pin hers on her and I just couldn't because my hand was shaking too much! We went straight in, to pay and just answer the questions again. I was worried about fluffing up my lines, that the registrar would go too far in front and I would forget the first half of the lines but she didn't do that and it was absolutely fine. Ds started to moan and complain, so my mom (adoptive) started to take him outside when apparently my one sister offered to take him out so she wouldn't miss the ceremony. We didn't know this at the time but I did think it had gone ever so quiet! When it came to the ring (only I was having one) dp couldn't remember which finger it went on, and tred to put it on my middle finger. That caused a few laughs in the room. I was stll shaking when I signed the register, my signature did look a bit shaky though! After the wedding we went to a pub not too far away (at my parents recommendation), and it was really nice. By that time everyone was hungry and had meals, which were very nice and not very expensive. My dd had a great time and was such a well behaved girl all day, she played with all her cousins. Ds crawled all over the pub, think the only place he didn't crawl was behind the bar. By the time we were leaving he was asleep in my arms. We left there about 2.30/2.45 pm. I didn't have a drink because I was driving back, but I'm making up for it now lol.
So in all, it was a lovely day. The sun shined, so couldn't ask for more really. Will put photos on my profile as soon as I get chance.
Btw, I'm still going to hang around if you don't mind as you're a great bunch of ladies.
