Hi Just been looking at the previous post from lisa841984, thanks for weblink they do lovely stuff.

Just wondered whether people are going with real flowers or artificial. I guess artificial are cheaper, easier to transport etc and nowdays they do a very good job.

What do others think and why.

Thanks

Hi, I have picked mine now and paid for samples of the ivory rose, ivory crinkle rose, burgundy rose and burgundy orchid. Those flowers cover off everything. I'll let you know what I think when they arrive if you like.

Bet you can't guess my colour scheme lol.

I must admit i do prefer real flowers. I have paid for mine to be preserved and will be placed in a boxed frame.

cool, you will like them.  Are you going for the same bouquet as mine? It's just that she does do other ones with cala lillies that are bigger or with more foilage etc so have a look on her website.  I went for the one I did because I'm only short and didn't want a bouquet to swamp me so mine is just a little one.  Something to think about x

I just opened the box again to feel them and I'm not sure how to describe it lol!  Ermm I can't explain but they are not foam or papery, kind of silky I guess.  Not sure what she makes them out of!  I got them from sarah's flowers and I also bought some single stem cala lillies to maybe put around the cake or something and to put in my fish bowl.

The cake picture isn't my actual cake, just a picture off the internet, my cake lady is making it the same but in my colours so not blue.  So the topper isn't mine but I am having a topper of the 3 of us sitting on suitcases to go on the top of the cake and Tasha from Bounty is making it.  www.claytoppers.com xx

I've been wondering about this too.  I suffer hayfever, and although if I take a tablet beforehand it's fine, I'm not convinced.  I've also been thinking about the practicality of paying so much money for something that dies so quickly, but then, I have a bit of a thing about artificial flowers.  I think it's because I've only ever seen the awful cheap rubbish ones.  Can someone direct me to some pics of other people with artificial flowers (Sarahs flowers or otherwise).  I'm considering maybe just ordering one or two to have a look and see what they look and feel like etc..

I've used Sarah's Flowers too and think my flowers look lush.  Didn't want the hassle of dealing with a florist and getting it all last minute so ordered my artifical ones months ago and they are just sat in a box with all my other wedding things!

December wow not long at all. We are getting married at Comlongon Castle near Gretna, I have been married before, many moons ago and wanted something different. I am very excited, we have a few more bits to organise but basically it appears under control. look forward to speaking to you over the next couple of months.

I'm goin artificial as well simply bcoz i'm not paying for flowers that r goin 2 die anyway. And u can buy them in advance and keep them safely. They r cheaper and look great.

I remember looking on Ebay and coming across some awful flowers lol. I would say flying with artificial flowers would be better!! Im getting my 2 younger girls the wands to carry too, and my oldest dd is having a mini bouquet, and they can have them for their dressing up box afterwards lol.

Im getting married 27th December! Im getting really excited now lol. I think Im pretty organised, the main problem we are having at the mo is finding a dress for our youngets dd as she is only 10 months! But BHS have their new line out the end of the month so hopefully find something there! But yeah, apart from ordering the flowers and the food to sort, I think we have just about sorted all the bigger stuff out, and just need litle bits like shoes, accessories and decorations now. How are your plans going? xx

Hi, I agree, thanks for the web page i had been looking on ebay which was quite hard if you do not really know what you want. I have saved the website and will have a good look later. We live in isle of man and are marrying near Gretan next may. So ideally flowers must travel and my bridesmaid are only young so I guess flowers will fly, hee. When do you marry? Are you really organised?

Hee hee - Im going for the artificial lol

So many people on here had raved about how good Sarahs Flowers were, and I have seen photos of peoples wedding who used them, and they look great!! Another bonus for me is that if they are looked after well, I can put them away in a box and keep them for years. Im not a big fan of flowers, and my sister suffers from hayfever really badly, so artificial have another bonus there! Im one of those that doesnt like to spend lots on real flowers when they will die a few days later.
