Ok confession - everybody in the evening thinks we are having a huge cake but we're not. We are having a small cake for the day time (1 tier) and in the evening a cake will all be cut up so nobody will know that is just a plain white cake. Its cost cutting big time!

I think it will be fine, if you want to beef it up a bit you could get some organza to put round the edges and put it on a high cake stand xx

Hi, I am going to have a M&S frui cake. I was thinking of just having 1 tier, would this look silly. would guests think where is the rest of it. lol. There are only 40 coming for the whole do, so that is more than enough cake. Also if you have 2 tiers do you have to have something on both tiers? I was just getting the below.
Finally my theme is burgundy & Ivory, but the white cake looks fab below, would a white cake be ok? I know anything goes really but it is good to have second opinion.
Thank you. Pam

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. We only have about 40 guests and I do not want cake forever so may just have 1 lovely tier. lol
