I totally agree that your dads partner is being out of order, she cant tell him what to do - he's your dad, and his decision, what does he really want to do?

What right has your dads partner to say that he cannot do it. I know they have been together a long time but you are his daughter and l feel that you dad should be making his own mind up. I also think his partner should be well aware that it is your day - I feel for you and hope it gets all sorted out.

girls. as you all know i am getting married in december. anyway, until now, i thought it was all going smoothly...but oh no!!

my dad and step dad were supposed to be giving me away. they were going in the car with me, and everyone else on the bus (as we are getting married in gretna, we only have one car)...anyway, my dad has now told my mum that he cant give me away as his partner wont allow it...as she doesnt agree on him and step dad doing it (which i did know anyway), however, its my day, and my step dad has been in my life for about 18 years (im 2. so my dad said he will give me away, if its only him, but wont go in the car with my, and will just get me there-meaning i need to go in the car myself....so what would you do?? no matter what i do, i will hurt someone!! help!!!!! *** src="http://my.bounty.com/smiley/msn/sad_smile.gif" alt="" />

i should say, its a really small doo, so no big fuss...no top table or speeches or anything, or dancing with dads etc..so the only task is to walk me down the aisle....
