ive just put first names on place cards, as shell said anyone with same names will know who they are sitting with.

hiya hun i got married on saturday and found it much easier to put just the first name on both placecards and seating plan,as pp said the poeple with the same name will know where to sit coz of who they have been put next to or with their partner etc.xx

I put full names on the seating plan and then just their forename on the place cards x

Hi hun i have only ever known just the first name, If there is two people with the same names it doesnt matter as people know from the table plan who they are sitting with anyway, Say for instance u got two amys one of them amys will know by the table plan by the people sitting by her that is her as your not going to sit her with people she doesnt know? I would put full names as well if you have more than one guest with the same name.. Otherwise I guess it's up to you!

I dont know the actuall rule but personally i would put the full names on as there amy be more than one person with same name. x
