thank you for this. We will go back to the Rev, doesn't help that he only started there this summer and hasn't done any weddings there yet

as far as i know the new law has come in on the 1st oct. i know this is for the whole anglican church which includes coe and one would ashume cos.

the new law says you can get married married in any church as long as you hve connections with church.

me and dp are getting married in a church bot in our parish and before we needed a special marrige licence but now we dont because of the new law.

speak to the vicar about it as he should know whats going on.

    we have a weird situation..

our church is on a military base where my DF worked 2 yrs ago and it's c of e. The new Rev is C of Scotland so our service will be scottish.

We spoke to our local reg office and because the church is not in our district the way we will be able to get married there....they think... is by one of us living in that district for 7 days and on the 8th day DF registers at that district reg office and simultainously I go to our home local reg office...

anyone else heard of this or had to do similar??
