hi honey, I am getting married in Barbados in feb 2010 and I thought the same about dresses, thought i would get married in a bikini! but then saw the jenny packham range of dresses these are gorgeous, expensive but till gorgeous!  around £2K but I found the one i liked and then found that people were then selling theirs on ebay afterwards! for well under half price! so am now the proud owner of my dream dress only worn once and am in love with it!  its very romantic and not hot at all!I have been to the bahamas and the Atlantis Hotel, I wish we had stayed there as its lovely but we chose another one Paradise Island harbour resort, (not that great at all!) so kept heading over to Atlantis over the road instead plus the beach there is lovely too!  saw a wedding there on the beach and it was gorgeous i was fixated ended up getting burnt watching it! you could have your wedding there and any one else going could always stay at cheaper hotels near by on paradise island and come for the day at atlantis its about £10 a day pass but am sure they do deals for those getting married there. Hope my advice helps, most airlines also do wedding package deals they may be worth looking at? xxx  

Hi everyone I'm ellie and got engaged 2 aug this year. Just before my son was born (14th)

I have a daughter aswell who will be 2 in 2weeks.

We're are going to get married abroad so thats half the stress taken away already.

In probably Nov 09. But i dnt know where to start.

We were thinking of the Bahamas at the Atlantis or The Beaches & Sandals in Turks & Caicos. But need to get prices.

Our budget for us and the kids,dress,rings,reception when we get back etc is £8k.

But im just worried the destinations we like people wont be able to make it coz the bahamas was about £2k per person!!!

ALSO where do i start looking for a dress? do i get a nice one that i'll sweat in when we're on the beach but be warm when we have the reception when we get home?? Where do i go to have a look.
