I have just seen the dress I want, pics in profile under wedding things (opinions please) and have found out it has been reduced to £199 in the sale, I am hoping I can get a loan for it ASAP as they won't accept a deposit to hold it and the sale is only on for a couple of days more, the price will jump up to £699 after the sale.

Really depends on what you want doesn't it?  I paid £189 for mine!  Alfred Angelo bridesmaid dress....strapless & full length....loads of crystals & sequins on the bodice & totally plain skirt..you'd never guess it was a bridesmaind one at a fracion of the price.

there is a lady on ebay from the uk that is selling dresses for about £137.

oh says its too cheap but i really like it, plus we are getting married abroad and will where it at the reception when we get back too.

Why dont you once worm it change it into a christening gown. My mum did that with hers and my sis bro and my daughter has been christened in it and so will my son.

my dress is costing £1200 and  i thought that was far to much money, i went and tried on a few others and they were ok but df said that my face didnt light up when i spoke about the other dresses but this one he knew instantly that i loved it and gave me the deposit which im putting on this weekend, the trouble is my dress is a pronovais 09 dress so they wont knock any money off but i plan to wear that dress doing the hoovering LMAO X

If its the dress hun go for it,

although i really think you should try it on, i fell inlove with a dress thought it would look fantastic on me, looked for a second hand one, and i found it in a wedding dress shop tried it on and euuuggghhh it made me look awful, no boobs horrible shape, but i was convinced it would look great but it didnt its still a beuatiful dress just not on me, good luck honey x

Mine's costing £600 and my mum surprised me by paying for it after I decided that was the one I wanted.  I think you can scrimp on other things to do with weddings but I think you should go for the dress that makes you feel special xx

My dress is £825 (Benjamin Roberts style 1033), first payment is 25%. It takes 16-20weeks to arrive in shop, then you go for 3 fittings in the run up to wedding day, and pay 25% at each fitting. HTH a wee bit.

Is it a shop hun? If so they may do payment plans so you can pay so much a month.

I thought i could get a dress for about £400 but after looking the one i have seen is £650 and at the end of the day although you only wear it once you want to look and feel your best for your day.

Go with your gut instict and if you want it have it hun (Lol!)

i agree with Orla, hun. If its the one you want and you know its 'the one' save for it.

I budgeted a couple of hundred for my dress, because I always knew I didnt want a 'traditional' dress and wanted something that was 'me' and a bit different iykwim? I ended up spending £35 from BHS lol. I have an ivory bodice that was reduced to £10 in the sale, and a champagne coloured knee length skirt with a lacy underskirt that was reduced to £25. Its not to everyones taste, but for me, its THE dress, so I went for it. If it had been £400 I would have still got it, as its what I wanted

Mine is costing £575.... I thought that was ok, I wasn't sure how much it would cost, but thought it would be more!!!  If thats the only dress you like, save for it, you don't want to have regrets about your big day!!!!

Just wondering how much people spend on there dresses, i have found a lovely one but its 650.00 and df is saying that its a lot of money for a dress you will wear once and then never again, I know he is right but i just love it, its the right design for my shape and everything, it would be what i call the perfect dress. Not getting married till oct next year but already i have looked at thusands of dresses and this is the only one i really like. if you wanna take a peek its this one

its simple, straps off the shoulder which would cover the top of my arms which i hate but also have nice slim straps that make it look sexy iykwim.
