i agree with those who said not to have your brothers girlfriend. it is really rude of her to have outright asked if she can be bridesmaid and besides that she may not be a permanent fixture (as others have already said).  It would be much more special for your best friend to know that she is the only one.  I was an only bridesmaid for my friend and it made me feel soooo special cos she chose to ask me and nobody else.  Perhaps tell bro's girlfriend that you are going to ask your friend to be your only bridesmaid so that she will feel really special x

Hi, just have our best friend. Word it, I am only going to have one bidesmaid and I have chosen my best friend because as you know we were going to have a really small wedding anyway and I want it kept simple.

    It's your day.

I would tell her you've only decided to have one as you want to keep it simple. Look at it this way- what if her & your brother split before the wedding (or shortly after?)- you'll be stuck with a 'no-body' in your pics forever?! I don't mean offence by saying this? I just mean she isn't a 'permanent' fixture in your family, and not even your friend.

I have asked my sister to be my bridesmaid so i'm payiong for her dress. DP's sister and my cousins asked if they could be bridesmaids as well and i told them its ok as long as they can pay everything for themselves coz i won't afford it. They understood and r paying for their dresses and hair and accessories as well.

After deciding that we only wanted a small on budget wedding ive now decided to do it all. Even bought a beautiful dress which cost alot

Anyway i wasnt going to have bridesmaids as its a register office but i now think i want 1 or more, and it would make my photos look better

Problem being, i have my really good friend of 9 year who i want there, and brothers girlfriend is asking if she might be bridesmaid. Do i ask her also? If i do, i really have to ask dp's sister.

Now do you think this is going over the top?

Im also think of the cost as i then have to buy dresses, seen some in the sale, but i then have to pay for them to get hair and make up done on the day also.
