thanks for reply, it helps knowing that others have had the same.

i had an episiotomy with ds1 and tore with ds2. with ds 2 a couple of the stitches popped, mw said it was ok but i never felt that it healed properly.

i have got the gynea appt next thursday so am happy that i'm not going to have along wait. xx

Hi, I also had the same problem after 8lb 11oz baby and a really dodgy episiotomy! After going hell for leather with pelvic floor exercises there has been a massive improvement! My doctor was terrible and gave me no reassurance but after seeing the physio I felt much better! Physio told me to make sure I was eating my five a day, plenty of fibre and drink at least 2 litres of fluid a day (not drinks with caffiene!) Diet is as important as exercise as straing to poo will reverse any effects the exercises are having!!

    Good Luck x x

    hi ladies,

so glad i found this forum as i'm stressing like mad and can't talk to anyone.

ds2 is now 6 months old. i had a pretty hard time pushing him out as his shoulders were wide, he was 8lb 10oz, not huge but was quite short and stocky. any way, followong his birth i suffered fron anal fissures for about 3 months and always felt pressure in my vagina when trying to have a poo. i struggle to got for a poo even though i have the urge to go. last night i was struggling and felt alot of pressure in my vagina so had a bit of an investigation and found that i had a large mass. when i pressed it i needed to poo and managged to go. after i had gone the mass felt less. i'm so gutted, i feel awful.

i mentioned it to dh who said that when we last had sex it felt different in there like there was something in the way.

i know i need to see my dr but there are 3 male dr's who i don't feel comfortable with, telling them that i've self examined. there is a female nurse there also.

i'm also not sure if i would like another child and worry that this problem has taken the choice from me.

    a very worried mummy xxxx
