Thanks ladies, i have a physio appt on the 4th dec, as this is the first route the gp said to try with a view to having surgery if they think i won't benefit or if after giving it a go there is no improvement. My mum had the op earlier this year and hasn't looked back, just didn't think i would be needing the same thing so soon. Funny, she compares our symptoms for this and varicous veins but i point out that this are things a woman in her 50's kind of expects not someone who's just turned 30!
Haven't spoken to dh yet, he's just been told he's being made redundant at the end of the year so his mind is elsewhere.
Good to know there are others out there with the same, take care x

You shouldn't suffer in silence! Don't be embarrassed - the doctors have seen it all before and if you aren't satisfied with one doctor, see another!! I got a second opinion today and was diagnosed with a prolapse that will need surgery to correct it. I only had my baby 7 weeks ago but wasn't prepared to take the first doctors word for it when I knew things just weren't right. Also, when I see the consultant I will ask about all the holes and lumps and bumps because they really bother me and I don't believe any amount of pelvic floor exercises will sort them out.
You have to do something about it if it's effecting your quality of life, and not just for your husbands sake (although that's a consideration). Don't make do and don't be embarrassed about it! I've spoken to my husband about all of it, (not something I ever thought I'd be able to do before the whole childbirth thing) and he understand so now I feel under less pressure to rush back into sex.
Hope you sort things out, it is all pretty unpleasant but I'm hoping there's light at the end of the tunnel!

Dont worr - you aren't alone!
I had the same, you need to work on some PC exercises. There are inserts you can buy off the web which show you how to work the right muscle.
In time it will get better but it will need work.
Hope it works out

Hi to any ladies out there.
I had my ds back in July and finally went to the doctors this week as knew things weren't right down there and she confirmed what i had feared and I have a vaginal prolapse. My poor dh has been very patient and has been waiting for me to let him know when i feel ready to kick off our sex lives again as to be honest we haven't had it since shortly after our ds was conceived which is over a year now! I was wondering if anyone out there had the same and if you've had sex and how was it for you and your did your oh feel anything was different. I just can't bring myself to do it as everything is such a mess down there, i haven't healed properly after being cut and have a great gaping hole down there and then just inside a big bulge, i'm sorry if tmi but i've had weak bladder control since dd was born 5 yrs ago and haven't been able to run or bounce around properly since and now i have this and feel like i'm walking with a tampon between my legs, at least the bladder problem didn't interfere with my sex life but really feel this could send my dh running a mile.

can i just say thank you so much for posting this i think i may have a prolapse i had my 4th baby 14 weeks ago and have felt that things arent right since her birth i have spoken to my dp about it and he is very supportive and has finally talked me into going to the dr's im so embarrised (sp) about this as i will be 30 next year it makes me feel better that im not the only person going through this
