thanks for replying, well its taken about 3 weeks of seeing diff doctors as the first one didnt even do a proper internal examination then when i saw a second lady she told me that i had got a prolape and sent me to another doctor and now this doctor has reffered me, and my appointment is in two weeks, i wish i had gone to the doctors much sooner now,its not good to keep quiet about these things, i have been in quite a lot of pain tonight with it too just so fed up see i wouldnt mind having a ceserean next time round.

    thanks for your reply

Sorry to hear of your situation. i'm 31 and just got diagnosed with a rectocele prolapse today after the birth of my first 7 weeks ago. Luckily for me, i persisted with going to the doctors as I knew something wasn't right, but it took 3 appointments and a change of doctor to get them to do a proper internal rather than just a peek. As for the surgery, I had such a horrific labour , birth and first 24hours after that I never intend to give birth that way again! I spoke to the doctor today and he says I would be a good candiate for an elective ceasarean - so that is something you could consider rather than living with your symptoms. It is awful though, you always connect with old ladies..... not younger women. Hope your appointment goes well, how long did you have to wait from diagnosis to you consultants appointment?

basically after i had my ds i went to the docs for the routine appointment and he asked me questions etc and i asked him if i have an internal and he replied that it wasnt nessesary which i thought was strange as all of my friend sthat have had babies have had an internal after they had their children and also considering that this was my first one, anyway i didnt feel right down below i have had bad pain in my back and  in my lower abdomen and down below, and also every time me any my partner had sex it was so painfull ii'd end up crying nearly everytime, but i just thought tht it was because id just had a baby and needed time for everything to "go back" my ds was born 20 months ago  now, it really got me down so i recently went to the doctors, i saw a doctor who did an internal examination and said that everything was fine, although i KNEW  it wasnt, so i then made an appointment with another doctor and saw her and she said straight away that i had definately got a prolapse, she said of the front and back, she said that she doesnt know what thry will do as i am so young and i want to have more children, she said they will possibly do an operation, i feel as though my insides are falling out my lady garden and its really affecting my sex life ( non existant one) at the moment because of this, i just hope they can do something because i hate feeling like this im in pain all the time and cant stand up for very lobng periods of time,i struggle to empty my bowels and bladder :i have an appointment wtih gynae on the 17th dec. fingers crossed.

sorry if tmi and sorry for the massively long thread
