ahhh Lynn big (((hug))) does seem you are having a bad run... i don hope you get better soon.....
Am also looking forward to christmas, hoping am nicely expressing by then as well so i can have a drink, didnt drink too much last year as we were TTC (well i was actually pg but didnt know - the one that ended in mc)
Ladies am still really really suffering though and soooooo sore, doc been round today and has confirmed my fears that the wound has opened but she said its not infected and can still see stitches so we just got to keep an eye on it and if need be left mw look on thurs, but for min i dont need to take any antibiotics, i get really tearful over it as hurts so much and soooooo scared they going to make me go back in and want to re-stitch as all i can remember is the pain of them doing first time ( think that was worse than the actually labour) So my question is, did you ladies ever had sttches ?? and if so did they go ok and how long to heal ??
Hope every one else is well, take care, Hannah and Lexie x x

hey all, i am easy too about the move just keep me informed, well guys i have another viral infection called viral flu, in me bed again i am not having a good run at it at all!
my body better sort itself out soon and i am like a spring chicken by xmas as i want to enjoy it as with being pregnant last xmas and throwing up all over the place i had a terrible xmas day and new year last year.
taylor away to nursery and my mum has isla as yesterday my dad came over and picked taylor up but i still had isla and she was unsettled yesterday so it was torture.
vicky you should deffo give formula milk for night time feed as this should put him through the night give it a try well a few nights anyway. i cant wait till i give simon his new laptop for xmas so that i can go on and see all the piccies and upload isla's and taylor's piccies.
hannah thats good about not loosing too mush weight i can remember taylor she was a terrible eater from day one and she weighed 7lb 3oz when born and when we went home two days later from hospital she was 6lb 9oz so she dropped a little too much isla lost 35 g but she was only in 1 day.
well hope all is well with everyone else and i am too looking forward to xmas cant wait will catch up with ou all soon xxxxx

Hi all, just a quicky, hope every one is well....... am still suffering quite a bit and got to keep an eye on things down there as we arent sure the stiches are holding everything together as nicely as they would like :S and its soooooooo sore, struggle to sit at times

Lexie was 5 days yesterday so mw came and weighed her, she was 7lb 2 1/2oz that works out she lost just over 3% so they were happy with that they back out on thurs ( 10 days) to weigh again....

hi all,
have found time to myself to log on - hoorah./ PJ has taken Harry out with him for a couple of hours to be a little delivery baby - yippeeeee and all it cost me was to office watch for PJ whilst he was away.
CONGRATS HANNAH. Sounds like you had asimilar time to me but i went a bit more extreme with a section. Can sympathise re back to back it;'s awful esp when your waters go as all the buffering fluid goes and it's just baby pressing on spine during contraction. Well done for getting thru it without epiduiral hon - you must be super woman as they made me have one at 3cm cos was in such pain (was induced tho so worse maybe - well thats my story anyway hehe). Will have to check out the photos in a min but i'm sure she is gorgeous. Get yourself an inflatable ring to sit on - a kiddies swimming ring thingy is good. My freind had one to sit on as she had stitches and she said it was th best present enyone bought her.
Lynne - period sounds horrid - not looking forward to starting them again but will do now im back on the pill. Not sure if can take packs back to back lik used to with combined pill - didn't ask doc which is silly cos know nothing about it really. Still better than playing the gambling game re not getting preg when BFeeding.
Well Harry had a couple of awful nights at the beginning of week but now has settled again - prob due to the huge poo he did on Wed afternoon. He has had this befoe - doesn't do a poo for a day or so anf gets uncomfy and grumpy. Gave him some gripe water and not ure if that helped to move things along o now giving one dose each day to see if helps. Also have started giving cluster feeds at 4pm, 6 and 8 before bedtime. Not sure which helped on wed as gave gripe water and extra feed but something sorted him out so shall continue with both.
Was thinking about giving formula feed at 12-1ish feed to try and take him thru untill morning and miss out 4am feed but didn't in end and he woke up as normal at 12-1ish and then 4ish for feed. Really want to cut out 4am feed soon tho so may think about trying formula or even jus expressing other side at 12am so PJ can give bottle at 4m if required. Thing is, want to cut out 4am feed before he goes into own bed/room.
Speaking of that- when did all your lot stay in your room untill. I know they reccomend untill 6 months but here is no way he will fit in moses basket at xmas at the rate he is growing and hiscot won't fit in our room. Think he might be waking for normal feed times and smelling yummy mummy milk when not actually needed cos he is in sme room - i know a friend said that at 6 weeks she had to put aughter on own room cos she wouldn't settle in same roomas her cos could smell food all night.
Also, who is/wasa breast feeding cos want to pick brains about feeding/sleeping - your right Lynne - breast fed babies need more feeds so not sure how old he sould be before we can exprect sleepin thru night.
love to all - hope you are all doing well and looking forwad to xmas.

in the end they said they would use a drip to help me out, they struggled to get that in a senior mw had to come and do, and they had to put monitor on to keep eye on baby... drip still didnt seem to work so they decided to get me in differnt postions and with every contraction for mw to do and internal and try and move the final 1cm.... this was agony

> >then all of a sudden it went mental and i didnt know what was happened... the room was full of people and bit of panic had set in apprantly babys heart beat had dropped and they were concerned and needed to get her out, doctor was called and said they had to use kiwi, also brought baby doctor in on stand by to check her over... soon as they did say i did push with all my might... but she still have to have a slight hand and i had to be cut but all of a sudden she was on my chest crying her little heart out....
> >they then took her to be weighed etc and passed her to steve as i was in a bit of a mess and loosing a lot of blood, doc then made me get back on gas and air and starting stitching, this bit was worse, can remember just asking for my baby as i wanted to fed her....... once doc thought she had finished every one left the room, and i was just in with student midwife, all of a sudden i felt more blood gush and doctor had to come back in and find out why, i started loosing real big clots and blood was all over, i wasnt very happy with the doc and i was high on gas and air and started laughing mw asked why i was laughing and i said its cos i could just kick the doc in the head and that i was a black belt.... but finally i got to take my little girl and BF...... so little alexandra ( think she will be known as Lexie) came into the world monday 17th at 5.32am weighing 7lb 7oz... shes amazing.......
> >So at the min am still in a lot of pain, am really swollen round my flu (and last night a stitch actually came open) mw checked today though and said seems to be ok, i jsut cant si very comfortable .... but shes worth it.... BF wasnt very easy at first but we are improving even though nipples are really sore......
Right i best not send u to sleep any more lol.....
> >Hope every one is well, take care all H x x and Little Lexie...... x

Thanks ladies for the well wishes on here and face book !! i know why you lot all went quieter once the little ones arrived... where does the time go lol....
Claie, yes i discovered back to back contractions more painful lol...
right my storey, (took me nearly all day to write lol)
Not sure what the last stage i was at when i posted, but basically early hours sunday i woke with stroonger contractions, so from 3am i was up, let DH sleep but at around 8am phoned labour ward and went in for them to check me over they did say i sounded to calm to be in labour, upon arriving they did me a check and said i was only 2cm so she gave me a sweep and sent me home, for the rest of the day i had contractions between every 7 - 10 mins, 8pm came and i thought a long stronger so went back to hospital, they checked me over again and said id only just moved past 2cm
made me a bath up which didnt help in the slightest..... so got out and mw had changed hands then and the student one i went to school with, didnt bother me though lol... they gave me 3 options, go for walk round hospital, stay in labour room or go home, i said if i wasnt getting no drugs might as well go home......they did ask waht drugs i had in mind i said i wasnt keen on injections due to side effects so prob go straight for epidural ( as i knew at this point i couldnt handle it been any worse lol, i felt such a wimp lol ) i said when should i come back and they said when you feel u cant cope ( i said i wasnt coping then lol) and really needed to be having 3 / 4 contractions within ten min..... we had a long walk back to car but said i would do it rather than steve fetch the car to help me along a bit more... got home thinking might get little rest inbetween contractions... ha that wasnt going to happen !! i was in agony..... told steve to try and sleep but he couldnt cos of my screaming, i was constantly watching clock and praying they would come close enough for me to go back in and have drugs lol....... i managed 2 hours at home and then said to steve we got to go back so i phoned them again saying i wasnt coping and coming in and would they deff give me drugs lol....> >We made it back to hospital at 1.30am and soon as they saw me they knew i had advanced, they gave me gas and air while they examined me... i was little high with it so thought she was been sarcastic with me when she said " so u want to come back when you ready to have baby" i looked at her to say what u on about, think she was going to say you know reached 3 / 4cm... and she then said Hannah your 9cm !!! no wander i was in pain lol... they said how well id done not coming back sooner, but epidural was now out of question really and did i want deamophine, i was going to take owt so said yes... her telling me i was 9cm chilled me a bit though as i knew it was happening............
> >So we sat like that for couple of hours but i didnt progress as nicely as they would have liked, waters still hadnt gone though so think it was about 3.45 when they said they would burst to help me out with the last 1cm..... this still didnt help but them popping my waters brought all the pain back on with a vengance as contractions came back faster and stronger.... good job i had the gas and air to hand..... in th

Hiya Hannah, just a quick one, hope this reaches you before you have bubba. Have you got a gym ball? If so lean over the ball and rock backwards and forwards this will help with the pain and also try and turn bubba for you.
Don't want to scare you but b2b birth is alot more uncomfortable with contractions, as you've probably gathered already.
Get on all fours on the floor and rock backwards and forwards as well, that's another good position to ease some of the pains.
Good luck hun, hope everything turns out ok for you and the pains don't get any worse.
Just remember.....the only trophy you get at the end is your gorgeous baby, so don't say NO to pain relief if you need it.

ive been to hospital as the pains got bad
seem as soon as i walked in though they eased, they checked me over and and gave me a sweep but am only 2cm so they advised i came home, she said i looked and sounded too ocmfortable and how labour is painful and i wouldnt look like that...... and now am home am in soooo much pain when they come again, am soooooo not going to be able to cope
just hope it all hurrys up and going to be knackered in a bit and cant see me getting much sleep................. oh and to top it off baby is still back to back ! -
16/11/08 05:57
morning ladies.......well am hoping this is it for me...... friday i started with just period type pains come 6ish i started timing they were coming every 5 mins and were like that for about 6 hours, but i also couldnt get off the loo and was been sick felt shocking *** src="http://my.bounty.com/smiley/msn/sad_smile.gif" alt="" />
and i was sooooo tired though tried to sleep, as all i could think was if i start in labour i wont have the energy - well still didnt sleep well woke ever hour was worst nights sleep ever...... then yesterday day i had odd pains but nothing regular, well from about 3ish saturday afternoon they became more regualr and i was getting between every 7 - 10 mins, really painful as well, more painful that fri night.... well again thought i would try and sleep and come 11 i finally nodded off woke at 12 then again at 2 and noticed at 2 i was still getting the pains, tried to have a little longer and managed till 3 but then ive been up ever since
the pains are now really strong and last about a minute and am getting every 6 mins.... i really hope this is it...... oh and also think i mentioned about the "shows" ive had this week, well early i also had a proper show was quite but and was slightly blood tinged....... am going to leave dh in bed and have another nice bath shortly........ jody i know how you felt now getting these pains for days, i really hope that doesnt happen for me....... i just need them to get closer....... lets hope am at hospital later..speak soon x x

Afternoon all... hope all your mummies are well......
Yesterday i went to MW and my blood pressure had increased, there is no protein in my wee but she has made me an appointment at hospital for today to have my blood pressure profiled ?? so got to go and be monitored she has mentioned them keeping me in, starting me off early, but then said not to get too worried as if she was that concerned she would send me straight away...
... then today ive been sat at hosptial all morning, they took my blood pressure as soon as i arrived and that reading was fine, then they took every half hour and each time it came down
they also took some blood and checked various things including my liver ( due to itching ??) and all came abck clear, so they think i just had a blip yesterday - midwife coming to see me monday just to double check all still ok.......Am just hoping it wont be long now...... hope the little one doesnt keep me waiting long... Speak soon, Hannah x x

hi vicky, isla slept all way in the night from 6 weeks, she was in sleeping bag and by 6 weeks she was fully bottled feed no breast milk so i think breat milk babies are fed more but isla can still be fed between 3 and 4 hours she is only taking between 4 and 5 oz and is due to be weighed this week last thursday she was 10lb 14 1/2 oz and she is over 11 weeks.
i think boys pile it on quicker than girls though, i am just guessing that as taylor was the same as isla, we have changed her tits to tommy tippee 3 months plus so the milk comes out quicker as i think she was getting bored with sucking so thats been from saturday and it has been a lot better, and vicky isla still has her moments about waking up middle of night for feed she is a madam.
well hannah i am glad about the pnd being less for you now it wont be long until you are not on any ad's.
well chicks away just now daddy feeding isla and my friend is coming up so away to get the kettle on.
speak soon xxxx

Hiya all
Tis me - back from the baby fog. Sorry i haven't got on much - it's really hard to find the time - and PJ is really busy setting up a new shop so have been helping him and being a bit manic at home whenever Harry s quiet - he does tend to be awake during day and needs entertaining. He's so funny already - he smiles and coos and is so alert and aware of things - he's a little miracle and onyl just over 5 weeks. He's just so lovely and such fun already - you can smile and talk to him and he just grins and coos back - it's so cute.
OOO and he's a little fatty too - has gone from 8lb 110z at birth to 9lb 3 oz at 1st weight 10 days later to 11lb last week. Will get him weighed again tomorrow and reckon he will weight at least 11 and 1/2 lb. He's such a monster baby. Will be out of 0-3 month clothes soon esp baby grows they are getting far too tight and short - thats the worst could do longer in them but his legs are too long. he's about 2 ft long from head to toe - what have i produced???????
Have had some feeding worries tho - had a curry on thurs from the curry house and think it upset him. Mabye my milk tasted funny or just hints of spices cos he had a very upset tummy the next day and then didn't poo for 2 days - culminating in a wopping great smelly poo this morning (straight in the bath once nappy off) and more since. Also i think i have a touc of mastitis in left boob - not very painful but a tiny bit lumpy and had temp of 38 on sat and nasty fever. Aparentyl can make milk taste funny and he hasn't been happy on that side for last day or so - has been bobbing on and off and vomiting up what he takes. Either that or just coming out too fast or too slow - can;t make up mind.
Anyway listen to me harping on about myself anf Harry. How are you all. Havr briefly read some posts - but forgive me for not catching up completely yet.
Ruth - great news about your release hon (hehe sorry). Glad you are well on the road to feeling better - sure the trip to France will have helped too. You will soon be off the AD's and right as rain. can't belioeve Emil;y has teeth already - and a good weight too my 7 months old neice is only 14lb.
Hannah - nealry there hon - can't wait to hear if Harry will have a little friend to play in the mud with amongst all these girls. Well done for keeping the thread alive hon - we would have been seriously lost without you. Hope you are feeling well and not too fed up of it all now. I'd love to say there is a sure fire way of speeding it all up but the only thing that vaugley worked was the hot bath i had and i think that was juat the relaxing aspect. Just enjoy the last week or so of freedom cos youwill have no time to eat r do anthing for a while after - get lots of sleep and watch films.
Lynne - hope you are better now too. Did hosp find anything??? sounds like you body is a bit confuzled. How is little Isla doing? Does Taylor love her? Harry was a rather good weight - i dreaf to think how much the next one will weigh - at least i can just opt for another c section - yes please!!!
Cat - Laila is walking??? how did that happen can't believe how much i have missed. Bet she is having a great time now and sure Her and Jasmine will be runnig you ragged going off in opposite directions - and the pupply too - how is he??
And Clagger - How is everyone your end??? i've not even had time to go on facebook really either - sorry Miss. Hope all well in camp Stringer.
right i'm gonna try and read some more posts. Harry might wake up for food soon - we are having a debate as to whether he can go 4 hrs between feeds now - does sometimes but when awake wants it 3 hrly. On plus side, has started bedtime routine of bath at 7.30ish then fed and sleep at 8.30ish.&

***bump** God i have too much time on hands at min lol
H x x38 weeks today

Hiya Frieds, thought it was about time we all moved over from TTC as we've now all got our BFP's and it's not right been in TTC anymore.
Hope you all find me over here, cos I'm on my own at the mo and I can just imagine you all still over in TTC without me. Boo,hoo.
Well, 24wks today for me, can't believe that I finish work in 5 weeks, can't wait!!!! The week I finish we are going away to my Dad's caravan on the East Coast for the week so it'll be nice to chill out and a chance to get my feet up for a few days whilst Darren runs around after Tom.
Ruth, I think you should tell Chris' mum that you don't think it's a good idea to come up that week and that you're heads will be all over the place and it's a special time for Chris and yourself. You don't know how you'll feel when you go into labour and would feel embarassed if they were there. Could you suggest to them that they come up and "help out" with the baby once you've had her. This way you get to have a bit of a helping hand and they get to see their new grandaughter as well. Ask them if they want to come up for about 4 days.
Be honest with them, they won't mind the honesty. I'm sure they would feel better knowing that you were happy.
Hope you all find me soon.
