woooohoooooo!!!!!
congratulations lynne!!!! amazing news! s*** though - what a trauma you went through you poor thing!! aw lordie - my heart goes out to you babe. i was 7cm when i had an epidural and couldnt have waited a minute longer for it but to be treated like that and given nothing when you asked for it is simply awful and wrong.
am glad all is ok now though.
apologies to the rest of my frieds for my absence. i've had issues with crappy sky broadband which is pants but also have been having a few issues of my own this last few weeks and have had the hv round today a she thinks ive got pnd. ho hum. doesnt surprise me really tohugh as have been very down recently. am off to see my gp next week though for a thorough assessment so will let you all know how it goes.
emily is fine though and is beautiful - c's cousin has popped some pics of her on facebook - if you go to my profile they're on there. she's such a poppet! i'll get some on there eventually though.
best fly as need to make c's dinner now but love to everyone - esp the pg frieds - not long for either of you now eh!
hugs, rxxx

good afternoon all chicks, well baby Isla entered the world on saturday 0702 weighing 7lb 14oz, on friday 0300 i awoke with contractions every 10-12 mins until 0900 phoned hospital and they said if i am getting 2 or 3 within 10 mins then to come in then or if my waters have broke.
so they dissappeared at 0900 so simon stayed with me and then got them back about 2pm (ish) but only every 20-30 mins but they were sore????? just at bikini line where the head was so i had this until 11pm at night had a bath but the pain was awful i called midwfie again and i said listen the pain i have every 20-30 mins is like the final when i was getting ready to puch my daughter out thats how sore it was she said i could go in but they would not check me and send me home as not having 2or 3 in 10 mins so went to bed with pad and pen and noted everything down i had my tens machine by this point too. i got up at 2am with every 6-8 mins in agony could hardly get myself through the pain and got ready and phoned hospital and said coming in. we had to stop the car a few times as i could not get through the pain myself i wanted an epidural now.
got to the hospital at 3am and was kept in the pre-natal assessment waiting room for an hour while i shouted and screamed with pain and no-one even asked me if all ok. eventually went to the assessment room at 4am and put tracer on me and all i kept asking was for something for the pain they said they would have to get a full trace on baby and contractions before they could give anything for the pain, the doc came in and cervix was still very high and had just opened so everytime a contraction came i had to sit up so that lost the trace all the time my labour was in my back and bum hole???
so the midwife came in after me shouting and gave me 2 co-codamol and a bath at 0520am i was banging the bath and stamping on the floors i kept telling simon my body was controlling me i was out of control with pain i screamed that much i lost my voice, i jumped out the bath as could not sit on bum i wanted to throw myself on the floor i got simon to push the emergency buzzer as i was in bits then he had to go outside and find someone she came in and said did we press the buzzer i said yes i could feel my body pushing she said up on the bed and i will check you and was 8cm so she ran through and got midwife from labour suite and a wheelchair and wheeled me through i was gagging for pain relief they said all i could get was gas and air so i was inhaling that on my wheelchair in labour sauit for 20 mins then pushed isla out leaning over the bed so was checked at 4am and gave birth at 0702 dissapointed with the care and to be told not in labour although the shouting and screaming i done with pain was out of this world, simon was looking at me and going something is not right here and it was because i was going through the labour with no pain relief, i ended up in recovery for and hour and half with drip as i was dehydrated with the screaming and shouting, no rips/stiches or anything and was out on sunday one day later.
so there is my story hopefully not put anyone off but had to tell, this was the same as daughter was 1cm at 2pm then at 5pm was ready to push and midwfies kept telling me no your not and i was like yes i am they seem not to listen as you should know your own body!!!!!
will get some piccies soon and get them on but we are doing fine and dandy, love to you all and speak to you very soon xxxxxx

Hiya all,
Ah hannah - you have been on your tot for a few days - could this mean good news for Lynne??? Are we the only two left to pop???
How you doing han?? have you started counting down the weeks at work yet? when do you finish??? Hope all going well - you are still in the lovely bit of preg - i'm getting fed up now and poor PJ even more fed up with tired, stroppy emotional pregnant wife - little does he know he will soon have tired, stroppy emotional new mum and also tired, stroppy crying baby as well as being tired stroppy and emotional himself - haha.
Have had a very hectic week and weekend - was maniclt baking cakes for PJ's mums suprise 60th party - was huge 4 tier cake and took ages to make - but was good fun and everyone enjoyed it. Then have had weekend of birthday fun for PJ's mum with afternoon tea and punting then big party yesterday - and relaxing today. thank god had last day at work on fri and can sleep for the majority of tomorrow.
Well, have another midwife app tom - sure i will be too big again - and also have developed carpal tunnel syndrome in right hand - it's very annoying and when i wake up can't move middle finger and it gets stuck if i bend it. Also gets all numb and tingley when i drive or put pressure on it - still, hopefully will disapear when BW arrives - only 41/2 weeks now - aaagggggggg.
Still haven't packed hosp bag as been busy busy busy last week and also need to wash clothes and nappies - eeekkkkkk. Still, everything got now - PJ did a final kiddiecare shop on firday as a ruse to get his mum out of house whilst marquee was set up for party. She was very kind and bought us the fisher price rainforest bouncer - soooo cool.
Well, hope to hear from Lynne soon - good new i hope and also Claire - still waiting to hear all the gory details when you get a chance hon.

hiya Lynne,
Sounds promising hon - fingers crossed Isla will be here by the end of the week. Have a nice relaxing bath and see if it helps you along - hopefully it will.
Well, done the big shop - got nappies, baby wipes, bath stuff, powder, sudocrem, clothes and hosp bag stuff. Phew. Am confused tho and prob just being stupid but we got a pack of 3 sleep suits and 2 x packs of 7 short sleaved body suits but surly a little baby will need longer dleaved/legged clothes for winter/autumn time - do you dress them in sleep suits during day?? We have got a couple of outfits with like soft dungaree type suits over a body suit and was assuming you could buy these in multipacks but no!! I'm prob just being really stupid but surely baby needs something warmer - don't really like the idea of dressing him on little outfits with jeans etc so young - will have to invest in more outfits with dungaree style suits - or do they just hang aropung in sleeper suits all day. Also may change 1 x 7pack of bodysuits for the next size up as already had some at home.
Presume they sleep in sleeper suits as well as sleeping pod thingy - OMG am so blonde can't belive i can't woprk this out for myself - girls would be so much easier cos you can just stick a little dress on them - all the boys outfits look a bit grown up for tinyyy babies.
OMG shoot me now cos i'm going on and on - sorry

well chicks, had pains last night and inner sharp pains going up inside me had this with taylor although my waters had popped first, so went to toilet and a few times after wiping i had pinky blood so this must have been my show, so was up quite a lot last night and phoned midwfe and said i could go in and gte checked but i stayed in the house and if anything else happened then i would go in, so nothing else and not really anymore blood or gunge, so i am taking easy today done nothing and simon home by lunch time and he is off on holiday thu/fri so hoping when consultant looks at me tomorrow will still get sweep although i am hoping i might still go by tomorrow, am going to have another bath tonight, as this is what i done last night had warmer bath and then went on bouncy ball for an hour then it kicked off. so trying it again tonight.
well enough about me hope all is well with everyone else, will be on soon xxxxx
hopefully with baby Isla, vicky we likced harrison too when picking names for taylor but people would shortened it to harris or harry anyway and we did not want a name that could be shortened.
take care all xxxx

morning all,
Glad to hear your blood pressure has got back to normal Lynne - not long to go now. My friend was induced and said it was a lot quicker but she ended up having an epidural and all was fine. Hopefully you won't need it tho if she arrives early on her own.
Hiya Hannah - time is flying by - you will have finished work in no time - wish i could work from home but at least only 8 working days left - hoorah. Tilly is def a bit spoilt but she is very cute all the same.
Hiya to the rest too - esp Claire and little Molly.
Well, had midwife app yesterday - all fine and dandy measurinf 35.5cm at 34weeks today but she didn't seem concerned and said i loked very well. BP and urine all ok - yippee no more glucose - made sure i took sample before stuffing my face with choccy cookies hehe.
Off to tesco later to get all things baby and hosp bag so everything ready to go - still have to put furniture together but then i think we are all done. Pram hasen't arrived yet as not being delivered untill 1st as mum and dad on hol untill then and being delivered to them - just hope BW doesn't beat them here - sure he won't.
Having baby name deliberations - think i have gone off Harrison - still like Harry but i woul like to call BW Henry - which is then shortened to Harry - PJ doesn't see the point and still likes Harrison. Not sure what to do - eeeekkkkkk

evening folks, just going to bed and thought i would drop in and say i am still here 8 days tomorrow to go, was at midwife friday past and blood pressure fine, i mentioned my bone again that it is clunking at night, she said the to go in on thursday this week as consultant will be there and be checked over and if my cervix is favourable then they will do a membrane sweep!!!!!!!!! then bring me in in a couple of days if not already went myself?
with my bone being very sore she said it would be better for me not to go past due date??? taylor was born 4 days early so they are hoping i would go myself early anyway, although i said it depends how snug baby isla is in my tummy. so its all exciting and nervous at the same time as i would rather go myself, have been told by few people that when induced it can be sorer quicker, ooooouch!
well chicks will be in touch before thursday hope all is well and welcome back vicky from your holibags.

well howdy doody all
1stly - apologies for any bad spelling in this message - have over helpful cat helping me type - suprisiingly not very helpful!!!
HOORAH CONGRATS AND HUGS TO CLAIRE AND MOLLY. Well done with the gas and air - bet you feel very smug - hehe. tons of hugs to all four of you.
I knew it would happen just after i left - did write a mega essay on the afternoon before i went but the flipping computer deleted it and i was so disheartened i just went home to pack. left at 3.30am on sat am - tres tres early.
Hiya Lynne - you have been through a rough time hon - soon all be o`ver tho - only 2 weeks togo. Glad to` hear theat blood presure better - very silly of them to take after bloods - surly they knew it would be raised if you were stressed re bloods. Keep us updated with progress - hopefully not long to wait now.
Hiya Hannah - so, just you and me in the running for a boy now - poor baby walker may end up being the onl man about the house. Hope you are keeping well - sounds like some BH contractions re walk - i get hem occasionally as well.
Hellooo to Ruth - sounds like Emily is doing very well 12lb already. Bet you are loving every minute still - can't wait to join the mummy club.
And Cat - our little bringer of good news - hope all well it in the Smith clan. How is your little pupply??? is he still just as cute - bet he has grown loads too.
Well, holibags were very good - very relaxing but wuite hot and not very easy to get to sleep. Also, had family of barn owls nesting in grange roof - very lovely to look at but not so lovel when screaming at 3am and the windows are open to catch some of the coolidh breeze - became known as the b****y owls very quickly. also had my bro, Lauren and baby Matilda staying - she is very cute but totally indulged and not very independant as a result of over bearing parent sydrome ie whenever she cried they picked her up - after a second of crying, then proceeded to shove bottle in her mouth, if that failed, was a dummy and then she was rocked and cuddled to death. as a result, she snacks on food all day - never takes a full bottle/feed, is unable to get herself off to sleep and was totally bored stupid as they didn't have any toys for her - she is nearly 5 months so was really up for some fun bless her - my mum ended up tying 2 jingly cat ballsto her pushchir with string just for ntertainment for her. we have picked up a few pointers of what not to do so was a useful learning curve - will basically do the opposite of everything they did. Bless them - they are trying but just making so much more work for themselves cos they never know what she wants cos they never look for signs - just assume she is hungry or sleepy - sure they will et there in the end.
Right, thats enopugh from me - mid wife app tom better go and cook some tea.
hope this all makes sense - have tried to correct the cats mistakes - would have been complete gobbledy gook if had left what he had typed - haha
xxxxx

Hiya Frieds, thought it was about time we all moved over from TTC as we've now all got our BFP's and it's not right been in TTC anymore.
Hope you all find me over here, cos I'm on my own at the mo and I can just imagine you all still over in TTC without me. Boo,hoo.
Well, 24wks today for me, can't believe that I finish work in 5 weeks, can't wait!!!! The week I finish we are going away to my Dad's caravan on the East Coast for the week so it'll be nice to chill out and a chance to get my feet up for a few days whilst Darren runs around after Tom.
Ruth, I think you should tell Chris' mum that you don't think it's a good idea to come up that week and that you're heads will be all over the place and it's a special time for Chris and yourself. You don't know how you'll feel when you go into labour and would feel embarassed if they were there. Could you suggest to them that they come up and "help out" with the baby once you've had her. This way you get to have a bit of a helping hand and they get to see their new grandaughter as well. Ask them if they want to come up for about 4 days.
Be honest with them, they won't mind the honesty. I'm sure they would feel better knowing that you were happy.
Hope you all find me soon.
