hi i have 8 children and baby #9 due in december and i always go to butlins skegness with 6 of the children ( the oldest 2 dont like going anymore but they are 21years and 17years) we normally go during the summer holidays but this year cant really afford to go then so we are going in september, its costing us £730 half board in the silver apartments for a week which considering its for 2 adults and 6 kids i dont think its too bad as once there all of the entertainment is free ( fairground, swimming pool etc) but i think next year with another baby i will be on the look out for a cheaper holiday as we are struggling this year so i would be interested to hear if anyone had any suggestions on cheap holidays..

Hi Girls!! Thought id pop in and say hello! Also wanted to know if anyone has any ideas for cheap (super cheap!) summer holidays. We have ds who has just turned 2 and are guardians to my sisters and brother ages 16, 13, 11, and 9. Also have bump who will be here on 1st October (supposedly!!!) Really want to do something with the children this summer coz we never end up doing anything coz of cost and we can never all fit in the car!! I only have a ford mondeo!

well i thought i had got a nice break for the day as my 4 year old dd was supposed to be going to her friends after nursery till tea time but her friend hasnt gone in today as she wasnt well so i have to pick a very grumpy girl up in a minute i can imagine it will all be my fault lol.
other than that i am not doing much my 12 and 8 year old boys are at school and my 11 month old dd is here keeping me busy.
i managed to get a ton of washing done yesterday so dont have any to do for once yay! and i suppose i could do some housework but i may just have a cuddle on the settee with my girls until we have to fetch the boys.
been an expensive week this week as had 3 school trips to pay for they always seem to come at once dont they.
hope you are all well and positively bloooooming

Im on baby no.4 which I think is mad! As when I was growing up there was only 3 of us in my mums, me mum and my brother, my dad died when I was 11.
In our house now there is me, dh, dd ds1 ds2 and soon tobe ds3 so eventhough I will have 4 kids I will only have to save for 1 wedding lol!
16/6/08 20:47
I'm preg with no.4 don't think i'll stop yet, maybe 1 or 2 more. I've got DD 8, DS5 and DD 3 and due with DD in November. I got tv comment when told people I'm preg again - I just said that tv is bad for you and there are much more fun things to do!

I would LOVE a huge family. We currently have 3 boys and would like one more in the next year or so. Our only con is that we only live in a 3 bed house so couldnt fit anymore in

Can think of tonnes of pros to having a lovely big family though x

i have a 1yr old son called Ashton
16/6/08 15:11
Hi, not a huge family, but I have Samantha, 11yrs, Madeline, 3yrs Ashton 1yr and a boy due in August. I know of alot of older people that had lots of kids (15 kids in one of the 3 bed houses in my street). OH's cousin is on #6 and has 3 under 5. My 11yr old is suffering with depression/self harming and my 3yr old has type 1 diabetes and coeliac disease. I found out when I was 8 wks pg with Ashton. I wasn't going to have anymore cos of the diabetes (it is genetic cos she has coeliac aswell) but once I fell pg there was no way I wouldn't have him. I think there's a 1 in 6 chance of having a child with something wrong (from major to minor) and TBH I don't know of many families where everyone is perfectly healthy. xxx

So good to see so many families with lots of kids! I have 2 of my own, DD 5 & DS 3. I have a question for all you experts!
Bedroom sharing! If we had another baby then my 2 are going to have to share for a while as we have a standard 3 bed semi. Not a prob atm as they are still quite young but those of you with older kids how does it pan out? Do they hate sharing? My only worry is that DD has a much bigger room than her brother but if we have another boy then ultimately in time to come she will have to be evicted into the tiny room! Any experiences that you can share?
Many thanks!! XX
