I put on about 3 1/2 stone whilst pregnant-my little girl is now 11 weeks old and I am pretty much back to how I was post pregnancy-apart from the weight of my boobs as I'm breastfeeding & they are soooo big. I've def found breastfeeding has helped me shed the pounds and i was back in my denim mini skirt yest (shame the stretchmarks haven't dissapeared as fast.....) x

Well if it makes you feel any better hun im 35+5 and put on 3st 4lb! Pre-pregnancy weight 8st 10 so i wouldnt worry about it, the joys of being pregnant and having a baby. Just think its all worth it in the end when your holding your baby. Thing is weight can be shifted if you put ur mind to it.

I ususally weigh 8st 7lb and with all 3 of my pregnancies I have gone up to 12st!   I vowed that with my last pregnancy I'd never do it again but I love eating when PG & I just see it as an excuse.  But I was in hospital for 3 days B4 giving birth so having two 3 course meals a day & sitting in bed eating them plus the tuck shop with crisps & sweets and boredom on top of that, well I'm sure I put on 7lbs in those 3 days!    So having a 9lb baby & a large placenta made a lot of it up.  When I came home the day after giving birth I was 10st 7lb - 2 stones gone just like that.  So DON'T WORRY!!!  DS is now 13 weeks & I'm back down to 8st 7lb.

2 Stone is pretty normal!  They reckon beween 1 and 2 stone is a good average.  I put on 4 stone with dd and I struggled to shift it - I only lost two of those before this preg so I'm pretty determined to eat well this time.  I really wouldn't worry about how much weight you put on now though, you just need to concentrate on providing your lo with the right balance of nutrience and providing yourself with good craving satisfaction and deal with the baby belly later x

at my last check when PG i had put on 4 stone didnt bother weighing myself after that lol - my ds was 2 weeks late and an whopping 11lb 7oz so that explains most of it but he is now 6 months old and im still 2 stone over my pre pg weight wish someone had told me i would have a completely different shape and wobble all over

you might be one of them lucky ones that spring straight back into shape.  Good luck hun and enjoy the last few weeks of your bump you really will miss it when its gone xx

It'll all be ok!!! My ds was 15 days late and I comfort ate a LOT waiting for him. I put on 4 stones, lost 2 stones within 10 days (he was 9lbs 6 and a half oz) then lost the rest within 9 months. Everyone said it's come off breast feeding but mine didn't shift until I'd stopped at 6 months.

I'm 3 months pregnant now (he's 10 months) and have lost 4lbs for no apparent reason!

last time i was pregnant i weighed myself the day before i went into labour and i weighed 11stone 7 lbs. i stayed in hospital for five days and i expected to be about 2 stone lighter but when i got on scales when i got home i still weighed the same . but about a week after that i lost 1stone 7lbs and the rest came off gradually.

i know last time i was preg my lo is 14mths i was obsessed at end about how much i would lose and about 2 days after birth was getting wieghed only to discover hadn't even lost all of babies birth weight but took about a week or so to come off as its water too as the need to pee still there after so fingers crossed for you hun and think your weight gain is fine honestly hun your bubs very happy so no worrying about weight til he at least few weeks old lol   (although i'm off to get weighed myself as 37 weeks today and wonder how much i've put on i'll be back in minute all depressed lol

Well if it makes you feel any better your baby, waters and placenta probably make up most of 1.5 stone.. The other half isn't too bad a gain for pregnancy especially if you've not been up for loads of exercise x

Hi ladies - just over 3 wks till due date and I feel awful !  I feel so big and ugly, I try and avoid the mirror these days when I'm getting dressed !  My legs feel so huge too !  Anyone else feel like this ?  To top it off I've just decided to weigh myself and I've gained about 2 stone 11ibls (just under 3 stone)!!!!!  Is this normal ?!  I feel even worse now !

How much do you loose after birth ?!  I need this baby to be on its way soon - so I can't gain much more weight !!

    Sorry for whining   x x x
