My midwife recommended lavender oil and tea tree oil for baths afterwards and even though I was not convinced this would work it really did the trick as far as healing was concerned.  As far as shampoo, I just used my regular and it didn't affect baby bonding.  I wouldn'y worry too much about it - you need a treat after so choose your fav!

I was also told by my midwifre that they prefer you not to use scented or heavily scented shower gel or shampoo as baby gets to know u by smell at first as their sight isnt great(although im sure midly scented would be fine) so for my hossie bag ive got myself some simple shower gel and shampoo as tbh i dont think id want to use a harshly scented shower gel to wash myself after birth anyway.I would defo recommend simple, sanex or an own brand non scented.

Just wondering why you want non perfume shampoo and shower gel??  I know perfume is not recommened to help bonding and breastfeeding but didnt really think shampoo and shower gel would really make any difference??
