Thanks everyone, I have known about my clicky hips for a while. The doctors decided when I was a baby that they weren't going to correct them, as they weren't that bad. So am just hoping that they are still ok, although they are clicking more and more. Just hope that everything is ok when they are checked. Thanks for all your advice and help. Take care all. Kim

I have clicky hips, they lock sometimes when I am, erm, well "excercising" ahem. But they unlock after a bit of a wriggle. All adds to the fun lol. Never mentioned it to the midwives ever and had a homebirth for the first one, start to finish in under 5 hours, normal hospital birth for the second and the third is looking normal too.

If youre ever at all worried though the best thing is to mention it to the midwife.

I had this too when I was born and MW not mentioned anything about c-section. I have already delivered one baby fine so not a problem for me - the only thing is that my babies have a hip scan shortly after birth to check theirs.

Hi, I had clicky hips at birth, fixed by the time i was about 6 months old. Midwife knows this and has not mentioned anything about me having to have mine checked! All she has said is that baby will be checked more carefully when she's born, esspecially as dh and SIL had clicky hips as well...

Hey I just wanted to know if anyone else suffers from clicky hips (from birth) and has been told they have got to have them checked/had them checked.

My midwife told me that even though they have never been a problem for me I will still need them checked to make sure i can deliver ok. I really don't want a c section and am worried that I will be told I have got to have one. Anyone else had theirs checked out and can shed some light on what they do/look for?

    Thanks Kim x
